We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamarious Simmons and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamarious, what role has risk played in your life or career?
When it comes to risk taking, I look at it as an opportunity to believe in myself. I would never know what I’m capable of if I never take risks. In my life, the role of taking risks impacted my business for the better. Starting my photography business involved taking a risk. I took that as an opportunity to believe in myself and so far, it has been going amazing.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me aside from others is my professionalism, integrity, quality of work, and the stories that are being told through my pictures. When it comes to my business I am most proud and excited to have the opportunity to make my clients feel better about themselves and feel more confident in their beauty and style.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I were to show my best friend around the area for a week there would be many things to do. For breakfast/ lunch we would eat Brunch at Atlanta Breakfast Club, Sun in my Belly, Thumbs up Diner, Breakfast at Barney’s, and Toast on Lenox.
For dinner we would eat at Shake Shack, The Varsity, Slutty Vegan, Soul: Food and Culture, and The Bando.
I would love to take my best friend around to see the city attractions. For example, The Georgia Aquarium, National Center for Civil and Human Rights, World of Coca-Cola, and Tour the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park.
To hang around, I would love to take my best friend to visit the Ponce City Market.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a shoutout to my brother Jaylon Simmons. He is one of the few people who plays a big part in my success. Jaylon has always encouraged me to keep my head held high and think positive through everything. Jaylon also creates music that has motivating storylines that always encourages me to stay positive and push a little harder life.
