We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamaria Hendricks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamaria, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I decided to start my own business, because I was called to buy back my time and pursue other dreams. Dreams that would provide products that would enhance another woman’s life and beauty.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The mink hustler aims to provide high quality beauty products and don’t forget services too at an affordable cost. I am a certified eyelash technician and I specializes in hybrid and volume semi permanent lash extensions. I built up a business where I want each and every client to feel welcome, comfortable and appreciated while getting service and yet but not less after service giving that client confidence in enhancing their beauty. This business has gotten me where I am now being able to take care of me and my son but not only us but my family too. It wasn’t as easy the most important lesson I learned along this journey is patience it take time to get where you want but the dedication, consistency, and beliefs is all you need to keep going and overcome any challenges coming your way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For food I know all people love some good soul food which is my best and something that stays open late at night southern fine kitchen is so good . I would recommend trap music museum, fox theatre, Atlanta botanical garden, etc.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First I wanna thank god because if it wasn’t for him a lot of things wouldn’t be how there are now . I wanna say this business was not easy but I got god on my side and my little one which made my drive so uplifted . In the process I wanna thank a individual that helped me with anything and all the million questions I had for her lol @scifi.bonita also a well now lash tech and my lash instructor @enhancedbynh_.
