We had the good fortune of connecting with Jalen Daniels and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jhalen, what is the most important factor behind your success?
There are so many factors that go into the manufacturing of my success, however, there is one thing, in particular, my success is predicated on, a straightforward method I call “being informed”. Many people fail in life and business simply due to the lack of that 2-word phrase. I pride myself on being informed in my niche, I sincerely believe that pioneers and moguls are not who they are because they’re better than others or because they are God’s favorite but because they are very knowledgeable about their business. There have been several times when I got the opportunity over people who had more experience than me, and much more excellent references, and yet I still got the opportunity simply because of how knowledgeable I was about the industry, I taught myself the foundations of each area in my industry whether it was film or music, I am aware and informed of my work which places me in a pinnacle level because I know all the moving parts which advance me ahead of my peers

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
For starters what sets me apart simply is who I listen, to and who I answer to and that’s God… Simple as that there’s no way around it. I don’t make moves until God says “move”, I’ve taken temporary losses for major wins just to see his plan come to pass and it keeps working in my favor. I know some people say don’t tell people what you’re doing, or move in silence because people are plotting against you, but I believe what’s for you is for you, and can’t no devil in hell or on earth stop what God has for you and there’s no way you can build something great and nobody knows (it’s just not possible) but I am in the process of few deals that will allow me to be the youngest major film studio owner in the world so that I am extremely excited about. There’s no secret on how I got here, and that’s through answered prayers and determination, nothing is truly easy. being broke is hard and so is being wealthy, and I chose wealthy. I overcame every obstacle thrown at me by learning the lesson from it and that motto is in my life, and in business, I’ve never had the same obstacle happen twice because I learn what I need to learn from it. Lastly, I want the world to know that I am who I am, and I came on a mission, and I won’t cease until I see what I said.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Alrighty! So first we must kick off the trip with a nice trip to Crumbl Cookie… (I must say I am obsessed) Next, I love to take a quick trip to Atlantic Station and walk around, and grab a bite at one of my local faves and that is Hobnob Tavern to grab my #1 go-to and that’s Chicken & Waffles. Then we must hit the Regal Theater and check out the latest film. After that I like to drive my friends who come into town through the neighborhoods of other millionaires, and billionaires, just to give them a little encouragement and boost of inspiration. Finally, I must take you on a trip to one of my favorite spots not just in Atl but in the world and that is the place of dreams “Tyler Perry Studios” (Chills- just thinking about it!!)

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have so many people who have been significant in my life, however, there is one person I want to thank and show public appreciation to and that is my pastor Mark Moore, Jr of (Spirit & Truth Church) who is responsible for one of the largest growing conferences in the world (YLC) and leads a growing church with 3 locations and over 1,000 members. Pastor Moore has been a true gem in my life not only through his preaching which is phenomenal but through his work. Being the first to do something is a challenging role people rarely talk about but it has to be done, and it truly takes courage, and as an entrepreneur and trailblazer myself it’s good to have a leader who understands that and knows how to walk that journey. So I must give credit to where it is due.
