We had the good fortune of connecting with Jae-lhin The Kid and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jae-lhin, what are you inspired by?
I’m mostly inspired by the thought of genuine happiness and what that looks like for myself and for the people I love. I know it’s my duty to reach that happiness because at the end of the day, it’s my life. And only I’m going to live it. And all I have in this life is real love and happiness.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m an aspiring music artist, I sing. I was born with the gift of song and I always sang but I never let anyone know how much of a passion it was. I wanted to protect it for some reason. When transitioned careers I had a heart to heart with myself and asked what I wanted out of life and what I was willing to go through to get there. I’m still nowhere near where I want to be in life but I’m moving in the right direction towards my dreams. I want the world to see my gift as God saw it. I’m aspiring to be the kind of artist my supporters can learn from, can heal with, and that can help influence our souls musically to help us get through everything we face. The same way the artist that I listen to did for me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
To be totally honest, I’m a loner in the city but I love that. I would take my bestie to the studio with me to start, show them my interest here in ATL, so studio first. Food is a must and I love to eat at Mamas late at night when I’m usually awake, that or Kabob Land. Then we would probably hit some kind of trails along the Chattahoochee, I’m not a partier, I’ll go out every now and then but I’d prefer to be in nature. Just not when it’s scolding hot outside.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out my family for always having my back. No matter what it is, they’re always there. I love you guys.
