We had the good fortune of connecting with JaCory Bazell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JaCory, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think about risk as something that is needed. When I take a risk it is usually because I believe a jump is needed or I need an extra fire or kick to keep me going.

Risk has played a big part in both my career and life. I moved my life and business to Macon GA after building a solid brand in my hometown of Douglas GA. Moving to a city where I knew maybe five people and expecting to start a successful business was a big risk.

What should our readers know about your business?
I officially started my company in 2010 with the vision in mind to offer affordable services who may not have a big budget but still want great quality. I offer photo shoots, event photography and wedding services. I started this business with affordability in mind and that stays true till this day. My prices are affordable while the quality of my work is high and forever improving. I believe I got to where I am at today by being persistent and being myself, which is a friendly positive person. It has not being easy to stay relevant and booked for over 10 years now. When faced with challenges I had to look to myself to see what or if any changes or improvements needed to be made. I learned that I am my biggest investment and things starts with who I am as a person.
What I want people to know about my PH Services brand that it is a brand that is based on servicing the people in my communities. A brand that gives back to the community and is always willing to give back in any way possible.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well would take them to grab a smoothing from Tropical Smoothie and dinner at hooters. Take them to the bowling alley for a couple of games of bowling. Also hit the golf course in the morning and then do brunch either at Waffle House or IHOP. Sports hall of fame, downtown Macon, and Amerson park, would be places to take a stroll through and check out.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family has been my biggest supporter throughout my career. My family made it easy for me to take risk and chase my dreams. They share my photos and marketing materials and are quick to spread the word on my photos. I also have to shout out to my cousin PJ who I loss a couple of years ago. When I had an idea or something great happen for my company he would let me know his thoughts and was a business mentor for me.
