We had the good fortune of connecting with Jackson Moehler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jackson, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I started my own LLC, Boone Media, in July of 2023 when I quit my corporate job to take content creation seriously. I had been doing content creation as a fun side hustle and creative outlet while working in medical sales and ultimately decided that I was more passionate about content and improving my skills than my corporate job. Boone Media LLC is a content creation business focused on social media management and content creation for lifestyle, makeup, haircare, and fashion brands. I also do brand collaborations on my own personal social media accounts and it’s really fun being able to work on my own profiles but also see different sides of the content world working with other brands! I got the name “Boone Media” from my 4 year old golden retriever, Boone!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
So I am an influencer & content creator and I like to call myself both because they are 2 very different things! Influencing is the “fun” side of my job (it’s all fun honestly haha) but it’s where I get to express myself and post about my life and my interests on my personal social media accounts. I love the community I am building and making an impact in people’s lives by inspiring them with freelance life or just to put on a cute outfit! Content creation is the other half of my job where I work with brands through social media management or UGC (user generate content). This is the more professional side of my work where I get to create content for brands and help execute their visions. I think having my hand in both sets me apart because I see what content works on an “influencer” level but I can also see what content works from a brands perspective. I like to think this has helped me work with so many amazing brands because I know what they are looking for when wanting to work with creators. Getting to where I am today has definitely not been easy but I’ve loved every second of it. Social media is not a hard job by any means, but it is a very mentally taxing job, which I don’t think a lot of people realize. You have to be very confident, determined, and willing to put yourself out there and possibly (a lot of times) not succeed. But the trick to being successful in social media is not giving up. Something I’ve learned along the way is that truly the “vanity” aspects of social media do not matter in the grand scheme of life. The likes, followers, reposts, and comments will be great one day and horrid the next. The thing that keeps me going and motivated is remembering my worth is not defined in the numbers, but in what Jesus says about me. I think one thing I would want people to take away from my story is that pursuing something you are passionate about is scary, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it. I will forever be thankful for the people that pushed me to quit my corporate job to do this because I truly wake up everyday and am so happy doing what I do.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Marietta, about 20 minutes north of Atlanta and I don’t think that many people realize how much there is to do just outside of the city. I love going to the Battery, they have so many fun restaurants and I also love downtown Roswell on Canton Street. SO many good restaurants to choose from! Plus you can avoid all the Atlanta traffic lol

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents! They are the ones that pushed me to pursue my passion of content creation and are my biggest cheerleaders. Without them I’m not sure I would of had the courage to quit my job and definitely wouldn’t be where I am today!
