We had the good fortune of connecting with Jace Whitsey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jace, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
When I first started my son was 5 months old and I spent a lot of time away from him and my wife startingup the buisness. I knew I had to make sure my buisness had to work with my family. Once we got going and the business started to pick up I started to have more employees. I was able to really spend time with my family. When my wife was having our second child I literally took off two months to take care of her and our toddler and then our newborn. Spending time with my family is very important to me and I made sure that no matter what I have time for my family. I’ve sacrificed a lot of my own profits to be able to do that but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Let’s Taco Bout It is about bringing cultures together. Bring different types of cuisines together. Making people happy through food.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife has pushed me to be great in all aspects of life and if it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t have found my love of being a chef. My mom is also a buisness owner and showed me that with hardwork you can make a lot happen. She has also believed in everything thing that I have wanted to do. My GM Chandrea has been there from the beginning believing in my vision and help me execute it. My friend Josiah who has come and and help the buisness grow and be more efficient. Without these people and many more who have come out and supported there would be no Let’s Taco Bout It.
