We had the good fortune of connecting with Izayah Grace and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Izayah, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting my own business was mainly about me finding personal happiness. I never wanted to waste my time just not being happy in life. My own business strictly means that if i fail everything is on me and nobody else.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art speaks for the culture. The culture that isnt notice but it inspired individuals all around the world. When you mix luxury and street its creates Izayah. The way i see art is from the inner part of my love but its goes against the rules. I want to be the trend. When I decided to engage into fashion, I choose to get my degree in fashion design . It was a challenge everyday for so many reasons because in the process i had to figure who i was as a fashion designer. I had to creative a lane for myself and understand that i only wanted to be me. The biggest lesson i learned was practice makes perfect and PATIENCE . I just truly want the world to know that im here and i plan to leave my mark in the most beautiful way possible . I want people to love my art for the art and my creativity for its creativity. My Brand is Izayah and Izayah is me . I’ve love art my whole life and now its time to present it to the world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Suite Food Lounge . 375 Luckie Street

Suite Food Lounge is just an staple of Atlanta. From Brunch to the Day Party and Nightlife . The food here is amazing . My favorite dishes are the Suite Surf and Turf which is Lamb Chops , Grilled Shrimp , Mashed Potatoes , Garlic Spinach. The Fried Lobster Tail Brunch is to die for.

The Beltline for its beautiful Wall Art which i truly love . Nothing beat viewing random wall art in random places .

The Legendary Edgewood Ave. Edgewood is just a vibe and you can find whatever vibe your looking for there .

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve truly come a long way in my journey. First , I have to recogize myself for sinply just being patience while I was building myself up to become the individual I am becoming. Octavius Terry, he was the first person who truly put everything about fashion and creative into a real prespective for me. He believed in me even when i didnt believe in myself. He gave me some much useful advice that helped me throught my trails of my creative process . Also, the whole teaching staff at the Art Institute of Atlanta . I just truly love the fashion department dearly as they have all watched me grow over the last few years under there direction. Im thankful for them all.
