We had the good fortune of connecting with Ivana Benton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ivana, how do you think about risk?
Risk Taking is the back story of how Ivana’s Beauty Garden came about. After graduating from esthetician school, i started woking for European wax center. Being employed there allowed me to gain more experience however it pushed me to take one of the biggest risk I am proud of today. Taking the risk to leave European wax center and build my own business starting off in my 2 bedroom apartment then expanding into this beautiful storefront I own now was the best decision I have ever made. Don’t get me wrong, of course I was scared, nervous, and may doubted myself a few times however, my drive, my ambition, my family/friends, and my determination kept me going harder and stronger. Following your dreams comes with risks, that’s what makes it even more worth in the long run. There is so much I want to do and will do in the future, i will not stop here! As stated in Philippians 4;13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am Ivana Benton, the CEO of Ivana Beauty Garden located in Stockbridge, Ga. We specialize in waxing, facials, foot detoxes, v-steaming, and simply enhancing natural beauty one at a time. We have licensed estheticians performing all services. I also hand make majority of our products from sugar scrubs to ingrown serums and many more. The Garden is a unique place because we welcome any and everybody into our home. We promote great customer service and customer experience. Our Garden Beauties refer to the The Garden as their home, where they feel welcomed and loved. I am most proud of the the establishment that as been built to service each and everyone. I am excited about all the new things to come, and most important I am excited about expanding The Garden so more people are able to experience and feel the love we offer. Getting to where I am today was not easy at all, but having my support team and my drive and vision made it worth the hard-work. I overcame the challenges with prayer; really taking the time to pray, believe, and trust in God really got me through a lot of long nights. Some lessons I have learned along the way is to never doubt myself or give-up. Stop and pray and listen to God really helped me a long the way of the journey. My brand is expanding, you will always and forever see Ivana’s Beauty Garden; my team and I are a walking billboard. This is only the beginning, we will not stop here. I have came so far, from waxing in y 2 bedroom apartment to owning my own storefront….. so much more to come.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Ivana’s Beauty Garden comes with a whole village. Without my village (my support system/team) i have no clue where I would be. I would like to start off thanking God for allowing me to even have the support team I have today. God has placed each individual in my life for a reason and I am overly grateful and blessed. Second I want to acknowledge my husband Gary Benton; my life partner and also my motivational partner, all the late nights, early mornings I appreciate. Also I would like to thank my little sister I’Luv, the brains behind all my creative designs, she is so talented and i definitely see a bright future for her. Another person I would like to thank is my good friend Trecia, she is more than just a phenomenal friend, but she is a great business partner, from her coming to decorate the “The Garden” to even decorating my daughters birthday parties. My family and friends motivates me, supports me, and even helps out at the “The Garden” and I appreciate every single last one of them. I am blessed and highly favored.
