We had the good fortune of connecting with Isabella Doherty and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isabella, what do you attribute your success to?
Honestly, it’s a mix of two things: doing a killer job for my clients and being their biggest cheerleader. When my clients are happy, I’m happy—and that’s the ultimate goal. Because here’s the twist: while I’m all about the digital world, my success comes from something pretty old-school—word-of-mouth referrals!

All my clients are local, so I get to see them in person for photoshoots, support them at their events, and yes, I even use their services and products myself! This personal touch means I’m not just a faceless marketer behind a screen; I’m part of their community. Because of this, my clients are always talking me up to others. So, while it might sound funny for a digital marketing business to thrive on word-of-mouth, it’s the truth—and it still works!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets LilliBell apart? Well, unlike a lot of other social media agencies, I don’t believe in making clients pay an arm and a leg for services they don’t need. That’s why I focus on small and medium-sized businesses, giving them exactly what they need when they need it in my bespoke packages. If a company grows so big that they need a larger firm and access to more people and tools, then that’s amazing—mission accomplished!

How did I get to where I am today? A mix of support, persistence, listening, and constant pivoting. My mom has been a huge part of my journey, helping me both emotionally and by connecting me with potential clients and partnerships. Persistence has been key—whether it’s always striving to make my clients’ accounts better or getting myself out there at multiple networking events. Listening has been equally crucial: I’ve learned from others’ mistakes so I don’t have to make the same ones, and I’ve made it a priority to really listen to my clients to understand their needs, wants, and goals. And when something doesn’t work? I pivot and try something else.

What I want the world to know about LilliBell is that we are a brand that genuinely cares about the success of our clients. We’re not just here to manage social media; we’re here to build relationships, support local businesses, and grow together. At LilliBell Digital Marketing, your success is our success, and we’re always ready to go the extra mile to make sure your business looks amazing on social media.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting in October, we’d have the best time ever exploring all the fall vibes North Georgia and beyond have to offer!

Day 1: Pumpkin Patches & Wineries
We’d kick things off with a trip to Bert’s Pumpkin Patch, where we’d pick out the perfect pumpkins to carve later. Then, we’d hop on a winery tour with Dahlonega Wine Tours, starting at Limoges Cellars for a cozy tasting. Afterward, we’d head to Dahlonega Resort and Vineyard for a delicious lunch with a view, and finish off the day with an award-winning glass of wine at Wolf Mountain Vineyards.

Day 2: Spooky Shopping & Halloween Fun
The next day, we’d grab a chai tea latte with pumpkin cold foam (because, of course) and hit up all the local stores to hunt for Halloween decor. After our shopping spree, we’d head home to deck out the place and carve our pumpkins from the other day, while watching one of my favorite Halloween movies—whether it’s Dark Shadows, Fright Night, or Practical Magic, it’s sure to set the mood!

Day 3: Gardens & Ghosts
We’d start the day with a stroll through the stunning Atlanta Botanical Gardens, taking in all the fall colors. At night, we’d go all out with a Halloween-themed dinner at Amore, where everyone gets a witch hat and the music is perfectly spooky. Later, we’d take a ghost tour in downtown Roswell to cap off the evening with some eerie fun.

Day 4 & 5: Greenville Getaway with a Wine Stop
If we had a little extra time, we’d take a road trip to Greenville, South Carolina, and stay at my favorite boutique spot, Hotel Hartness. We’d indulge in delicious food, explore charming shops, and hit up a speakeasy or two. On our way back home, we’d make a must-do stop at City Scape Winery—because let’s be real, another winery couldn’t hurt!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My biggest shoutout goes to my mom. She’s not just my number one supporter; she’s the person who helps me through any tough situation—especially when the marketing world has me ready to throw in the towel, plop on the couch with my hair in a bun, and devour a tub of edible chocolate chip cookie dough. Social media can really get a person down—trying to stay on top of trends, chasing consistent results, and constantly coming up with new content. Thanks to my mom, who’s taught me so much and shared her wisdom from her own mistakes, I’ve managed to avoid some of the biggest traps. I’m beyond grateful to have her in my corner, keeping me going and reminding me that I’ve got this (even when I’m two seconds away from a cookie dough meltdown).
