Meet Indigo Blu | Freelance Designer / Water Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Indigo Blu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Indigo, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I thought that I would be able to help people achieve their goals and do things as well as create things that they’ve always wanted. That was the first reason why I officially chose to become a freelance designer. I’ve been into tech since a little girl, I started out jail breaking phones. As well as taking them apart and placing them back together, at the age of 11 I was editing my family members pictures. It’s something i’ve always been good at, but re-discovered that four years ago this was my passion.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It was not easy getting where I was today, I put in a lot of hard work. I’ve always tried to be transparent with the ones who work with me as well as the ones who just support or look up to me.

In the beginning I did the foundation work, what was going to make me stand out? What is going show a person why they should work with me, I want to say my first year I did 90% free work. Just to get
my name out there, the second year it was on! I was determined, I made rules and most importantly was NO LONGER working for free, but getting what I deserved. The third year I was confident and accomplished more than I really ever imagined, but I had to work on ME, when I say me I mean the inside. The REAL hard work, once I did that… it’s like God said “I see you, you’re ready, it’s go time”

It’s never easy but always worth it!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love roof top bars, museums, I LOVE NATURE, so if you’ve been around me 9/10 i’ve taken or went with you to the cliffs. Lol

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shout-out to God because that’s one person without a shadow of a doubt that’s stuck beside me and pushed me when I didn’t know what to do. I want to thank my supporters, because you guys also keep me going.

For me to shoutout everyone i’d really have to just write another book, I love and appreciate you all! We’ll be at the top soon.
