Meet Immaculate The Trap Aerialist | THE Trap Aerialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Immaculate The Trap Aerialist and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Immaculate, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I knew nobody else was going to marry two things that don’t really belong in the same room. I saw an opportunity and created something to bring two works that couldn’t be further apart together.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I wanted to get more girls of color instead in aerial arts. Since most draw a blank when I say aerial, aerialist, or aerial arts, I realized I needed a bridge to connect the gap between the worlds. I took something they were familiar with and used it as a path to something completely new to them. Trap music. I know Trap Music wasn’t going anywhere and neither was aerial arts. The journey is an ongoing amazing one with new obstacles every other day. The only way I know how to get through the obstacles is to keep pushing, keep training, keep your head up and keep moving forward. Even on the not so good days.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well since we are in the A! Most we’d visit the world famous Magic City on Monday. Tuesday we would go to Tin Lizzys for taco Tuesday. Wednesday would be reserved for MJQ for a fun filled night of dancing and drinks. Thursday would probably be a good day to check out the High museum. Friday we’d go have brunch at the Nook, one of my faves. Then check out Piedmont Park. Saturday night is a great time to hit Peter street for art and drinks. Wrapping it all up on Sunday with a bunch Day party. Plenty to choose from in the city
