We had the good fortune of connecting with Ice Cool and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ice, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I am passionate about making people laugh. Therefore, I am pursuing a career in comedy and the film industry. You know what they say. If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life. I want to show the world my god given talent and how laughter can bring everyone together in unity. I want to see where my talent can take me. With of course training and performance arts techniques. Achieving a profession of acting and comedy will be easy. Many of my friends and family say I make comedy look easy. They have stated that I should take up comedy and acting professionally. So, I’m just trying to follow the path that the most high has for me. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Comedy has always been my thing ever since I was very young. I remember being a kid even at the age of thirteen making my family and close friends laugh. It was something special being able to connect with people by making them laugh, and having them forget about any struggles or worries they may have been facing, even if it was just for a moment.
Even as I got older, I still found so much joy and happiness in being able to bring a little relief to others through laughter. This could be close friends, classmates, or even strangers. Comedy is something that connects all of us as humans, regardless of where you come from, what you believe, where you work, your religion, etc.
If someone has had a very tough week, being able to give them a sigh of relief through laughter is not only comforting, but it is therapeutic. With that being said, comedy is not only my gift to others, but it is my “why” and passion.
What’s sets my apart? My blue hat, energetic style and slogan “Ice Cooool”.
In terms of what I am most proud of currently, would be headlining my new TV series, “Chillin’ With Cool”, which is a comedy series following “Ice Cool”, playing myself as I enter my first year at a university for comedians. This is a huge and exciting opportunity for me, and I’m headed for the big screen.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
1. Main Event Atlanta
2. Fellini’s
3. Six Flags
4. Cascade Family Skating Rink
5. Round1 Bowling & Arcade
6. Tropical Smoothie Cafe
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
1. Shoutout to Jhertira Chandler & Charnell Blizzard. Who are the directors for my TV Series “Chillin With Cool” which will be release at a later date. It was Jhertira idea to create my own TV Show.
