We had the good fortune of connecting with Hope Giselle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hope, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I gave up on trying to force people to accept me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a black person I tend to stay away from the traumas of what it means to navigate professional settings I think that a lot of the work that we do is inherently wrapped in struggle however, we always find ways to prevail. I did the research. And made it happen just like so many other black folk and professional settings. We do it we have to do so that we can do what we want to do

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m not really a club person however, there is a restaurant and hookah bar that I absolutely love called kebab land the food is delicious and I never pass up an opportunity to take someone or go there myself. Outside of that I am really cheesy and absolutely love the Coca-Cola factory and Six Flags over Georgia

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I absolutely adore Janet Mock she is my mentor from afar and I truly appreciate the ways in which she is able to maneuver both her career and personal life while being able to dictate how she wants to be seen as a woman of trans experience
