We had the good fortune of connecting with Honcho J and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Honcho, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking is one of the most important things in life. For me I had to risk taking out of work to get closer to my dreams , so instead of making money I took the risk of missing it to be on a musician scene more and it work.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ am most excited by just doing what I love simply anything with music or designing leaves me at peace . I got where I am just never giving up . I’ve learned to never doubt yourself or never down play your potential and they you can do anything if you put your mind to it. I want the world to know about my brand I will use NAM for my clothing line that will just be the name and it will be for kids of both gender. And the abbreviation is both my kids initials.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would bring them to travelers rest and go to a place called bald rock . It’s a nice view, peace and vibe and on the way up you’ll pay some of the best food places to eat such as side wall and a spot I like to eat short fields.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shout-out to my grandma for teaching me the small things in life as respect, hustle, manors, love and god and those things has kept me alive and gotten me far . As I spoke on god the only book I would shoutout is the Bible . My 2 kids deserve credit because they strive me to be the person I am and help me continue to chase my goals.
