Hi Herman, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I attribute the success of my brand to the unwavering commitment to authenticity and staying true to what/and how I feel in that moment of time. As a photographer and creative professional, my role involves consistently delivering innovative and groundbreaking projects. One crucial aspect of this success is my ability to envision and conceptualize an idea and witness its fruition.

I firmly believe in the power of manifestation and being on time with where God wants you. While immediate recognition may not always be universal, I am confident that the vision I bring to any of my projects will eventually be acknowledged in some capacity. The essence in staying true to the creative process and trusting that, over time, others will come to appreciate the uniqueness of my work as well. It is a journey of perseverance and artistic integrity my creations will circle back, garnering recognition and appreciation from those who may initially have not grasped the full scope of the vision.

Remaining steadfast in this belief not only continues fueling my creative journey but also establishes a foundation that resonates with my audience of always working to produce something new. It is the fusion of innovation, vision, and the unwavering commitment that I feel sets my brand apart, creating a lasting impact that transcends momentary trends.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Overcoming fear, for me, has been an integral part of my journey as a photographer. There were moments that felt insurmountable, times when I contemplated setting my camera aside, battling burnout, and grappling with a reluctance to create. It was during these challenging periods that I recognized the need to reassess my motivations, to rediscover the essence of why I embarked on this creative journey in the first place.

The key, I found, was not to view breaks or pauses in creativity as setbacks, but rather as opportunities for a hopeful shift. Embracing the fact that being a creative artist is a lifelong passion, I decided not to give up on it entirely. Instead, I opted to release the pressure I placed on myself and allow for moments of rejuvenation. This willingness to step back, take a breather, and return with a fresh mindset is, I believe, what sets my approach apart from others.

Taking a break doesn’t equate to surrender; it’s a strategic pause that allows for a more progressive comeback. This year marked a full-circle moment for me on a personal note as well. Overcoming the clutches of depression, a battle that spanned years, has been a transformative journey. The victory over that internal struggle has empowered me to create more freely and honestly. I am no longer in a rush for anything, because everything that is meant to be will be. The resilience developed through this process is one of my proudest personal achievements thus far turning challenges into stepping stones, using them as invaluable learning tools.

In essence, I’ve emerged from the shadows of fear and self-doubt, not just as a creative but as someone who appreciates the power of resilience, self-care, and the courage to confront one’s own obstacles. This not only sets me apart, but also it serves as a testament to the strength derived from confronting and overcoming adversity. Something I think we could, and should all lean into. This newfound perspective is a driving force propelling me forward on my creative odyssey.

Gratitude overflows as I reflect on almost six incredible years of this photographic journey, and I can’t help but shout out every supporter, collaborator, and friend who has been a part of this adventure. The unwavering support you’ve provided has been a beacon of strength. You’ve not only held me down but propelled me to become a better person, both in front and behind the camera.
