We had the good fortune of connecting with Henry Rodriguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Henry, how do you think about risk?
Risk has been a part of every major decision in my life and career. I spent 14 years in law enforcement, working in three different departments — and with every move, I was stepping into the unknown. Each change brought new challenges, new environments, and a new level of responsibility. But I took those risks not just for professional growth — I took them for my family. Every transition was about giving them a better life.
Eventually, I made the biggest leap of all — leaving the badge behind and starting my own private investigation business. That meant walking away from stability and stepping into entrepreneurship, where nothing is guaranteed. But I believed in my skills, my purpose, and the people I could help.
To me, taking risks isn’t about being fearless — it’s about being driven. It’s about trusting that the discomfort of change is worth the reward of progress. And honestly, every risk I’ve taken has brought me closer to the life I envisioned — for myself, and for my family.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Elite PI Services was built with a mission: to provide truth, peace of mind, and real answers when people need them most. I’ve seen just how valuable the right information can be. Whether it’s protecting a business from a negligent hire, uncovering infidelity, or helping someone get clarity in a difficult situation, the truth matters. That belief is at the core of what we do.

One thing I would like to address is the common misconception many people have about private investigators. Thanks to movies and TV, PIs often get a reputation for shady tactics or operating outside the law. But that’s not how we do things. At Elite PI Services, everything we do is done with integrity, professionalism, and full respect for state and federal laws. We’re licensed, experienced, and committed to ethical investigations. Trust is the foundation of this business.
What sets us apart is our background, attention to detail, and personalized approach. We don’t just run online reports and hand you data — we investigate thoroughly, verify facts, and deliver results you can act on. Our background checks are FCRA-compliant, our surveillance is conducted in a legally sound manner, and every case is handled with discretion and care. We’ve also expanded our services to include Live Scan fingerprinting, as we wanted to cater to a wider range of individuals and businesses.

Reaching this point wasn’t easy, and it still isn’t easy. Leaving a steady career to start a business from scratch came with risk, fear, and a steep learning curve. But what got me through was my “why”: helping people who need help. Whether it’s a business owner trying to avoid a costly mistake, a spouse seeking answers, or someone simply trying to protect their future, they deserve the truth. And they deserve someone who genuinely cares about getting it.
Our goal at Elite PI Services isn’t just to solve cases — it’s to be a resource for the community. To give people peace of mind. To protect businesses, families, and reputations. That’s what drives us every single day.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely — no success happens in isolation, and I owe so much of my journey to the people who stood beside me, like my mother and father, who raised me with good values. Most of all, I want to dedicate this shoutout to my wife, Karen Rodriguez. She has been my rock through every chapter — supporting my decisions, encouraging me when I had doubts, and pushing me forward when I wasn’t sure I could do it. Her belief in me never wavered, even when I was second-guessing myself. I wouldn’t be where I am today without her strength, love, and unwavering support.
I also want to give a special shoutout to my daughter, Arianna Rodriguez. She is my greatest achievement and constant inspiration. Every step I take is for her — to build a better future and to show her the power of hard work, integrity, and resilience.
