We had the good fortune of connecting with Harold White and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Harold, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Always keep going! Give up? Nah. Never give up. Although our plans in life may not go as we expect them. You have to be able to adapt.
Change up that game plan and get to work! That obstacle may look insurmountable right now, but that’s when you go back to the drawing board. Do your research. Find an alternative. Ask for help if you need it. But you don’t stop. This journey of life we are on is going to have its twists and turns and you won’t always be ready for them. Use them as a lesson learned to strengthen your drive and to keep pushing forward.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe that my positive attitude and personality is what differentiates me from others. I always come to a shoot or a show ready to work, ready to have fun, and with an open mind.
I am more of an introvert and modeling helped me build my self confidence and step out of my comfort zone. It helped me realize that I am enough. Being in an industry where image/appearance is everything ,sometimes it can make you second guess yourself. But we are all beautiful in our own ways and sometimes our differences are the most beautiful part of us.
Everyone may not like you or your work and that’s ok. Never let it make you question your own talents and self worth.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If it’s one thing Harold is going to do… It’s eat some good food! Good ol’ soul food to be exact. Southern Classic Soul and Roc South Cuisine are two of my favorites! The Mac and Cheese…WHEW!
And if you’re looking for a vegan option: Planted Soul is the way to go.
We would definitely hit the BeltLine. Grab some scooters and make our way through the city!
PS: them scooters be MOVING! lol
For a nice brunch, we are hitting up one of my favorite spots: Ms. Icey’s Kitchen and Bar.
The vibes are unmatched. From the delicious food to the live DJ. It’s a place with a great team and great energy all around!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to my mama! That woman is my heart and best friend! Honestly, don’t know here I would be without her love and support. A true Ride or Die for Life!
