Meet Gregory Alexander | Nutritionist, Wellness product inventor, & Trainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gregory Alexander and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gregory, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Initially creating my business idea, I thought about separating myself from others like businesses in the community. That is when I started doing mobile personal training. Another thought was how can I utilize my degree without it going to waste.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As I have grown older, I have always had a passion for the overall wellness of people. I am most proud of my ability to create quality healthy products that have proven to assist in healing, increased quality of life, and increased access to trustworthy health products. Growing up with a registered nurse as a mom and a Retired CSM of the Army as a father, fitness, and health have always been priorities right next to education. I witnessed growing up many natural home remedies for different ailments. Seeing my father use sea moss to make delicious sea moss shakes, which reminded him of his childhood in Trinidad and Tobago, allowed me to gain familiarity with exotic produce, natural remedies, and the different ways to utilize them. After obtaining my undergrad in exercise science, I knew I needed more knowledge to feel well-rounded in fitness and health. This was when I decided to obtain a Master’s of Science in nutrition and human performance. Once finding out this would get me nowhere, I had no choice but to stay hungry and continue working towards my immediate goal of obtaining my Registered Dietitian license. Completing more classes is always a challenge when you are ready to serve the people. Still, commonly patience and hard work are virtues that can only be appreciated and understood thoroughly through personal experience. After completing the internship in St. Louis soon, I will be able to obtain my state license. Once that is done, I can begin my long-term business plans on bringing multiple quality wellness professionals together to help communities across the nation, one city at a time.
The lessons of staying patient and focused are only the beginning. Some days there were losses, people backing out of their end of deals, and free product given away in hopes that it would come back 10-fold shortly. No matter what may not have happened, I have always had good-spirited intentions for God’s people. The most high and the ancestral spirits have always found a way to make sure I am blessed and cared for. I want the world to know that Greater Achievements is here to help you along every step of the way, inside and out.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As Fayetteville, NC, continues to grow, the first thing to do is grab a bite to eat with our many locally-owned restaurants. -Monday we can start the week off with good exercise at the cape fear river trail with a few miles of walking. After freshening up, we can work up an additional hunger with some group pics at Selfie Wrld. Brunch would definitely have to be at Uptowns chicken and waffles to replenish the carbs. After a mandatory nap from the itis, we can head downtown to Bruces Sports lounge for some great music, drinks, and wings if we can catch them before they sell out.
-Tuesday, the afternoon would be an excellent time to introduce them to Rookies for lunch since it is Taco Tuesday. Tuesday evening would be followed by going to Phat Daddy’s for drinks, a small bite to eat, and good music.
-Wednesday would be ideal for Bourbon Orleans to grab some shrimp and grits or a po’boy. That night would be perfect to go to The Livery Cigar Lounge for a good cigar and even better drinks.
-Thursday, if they are still hanging in there, we can regroup by going to The Cave Halotherapy for one of their packages with a massage, facial, and Salt cave sit. For food, some good Trini food from Dhans kitchen would be ideal. After that mandatory nap, we can also visit Allure, one of the newest lounge spots in town.
-Fridays are mandatory for the Friend’s table; a Millenial style fancy brunch restaurant has excellent brunch shots and handheld food. That night we will have to join the vibes at Anubis hookah lounge and get in on some of the action you can find on their Instagram, as well.
Saturdays are free for all. They would be able to choose where they would like to go once more before heading out of town Sunday.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The success of my business would not be here without the support of my parents. They have always supported me throughout life with any venture, whether in sports, education, or business. My parents have always been willing to assist through consultation about new products, monetary support for new ideas, making decisions about business costs, and setting priorities to make sure the business runs smoothly.
