We had the good fortune of connecting with Glam Graham and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Glam, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
When I was a small child my mother used to tell me to sing and perform for her friends to entertain them when they were hanging out at out home in Chicago, IL. I liked performing in front of people and when I first started seeing rap music videos come on TV I knew that was what I wanted to do as a career.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a rap music artist that creates songs in several different genres. I like to mix R&B, pop, rock and other styles into my music. I’m also excited about a new reality TV series I’m working on the pilot for entitled “Glam’s Road To Beauty” which I plan to start filming this Summer. It’s my own reality show based on the many cosmetic surgeries I’ve undergone and the ones I still plan to have in the near future. I spent many years overweight and decided to do something about the way that I looked to appeal to the fan base I was reaching out to with my music. I started a YouTube web series called “Build A B*tch Workshop” and actually filmed and documented several of my cosmetic procedures and plastic surgeries. I then received lots of emails from people asking more questions about the procedures and it became quite overwhelming. So I figured I’d put everything they wanted to know in a TV show based on my YouTube web series.

As far as my music career is concerned, I got a late start because I was living on the southside of Chicago trying to raise my only son the best way that I could. My neighborhood was dangerous and I had to put my dreams on hold to focus on keeping my son alive and well until he was grown and able to go out on his own in the world. So I eventually relocated to the Atlanta, GA area to give him and myself a better life. Fast forward several years and I eventually met my Husband, DJ Fury, who had also relocated to the Atlanta area from Florida. Once my son turned 18 I finally decided to pursue my music career full-time.

Along the way I’ve learned that life won’t just hand you anything on a platter. You have to be dedicated, focused, patient and work hard to achieve your goals. Sometimes it may seem as if things just aren’t going to work out, but you can’t give up. Just keep striving towards greatness and eventually you’ll get there…wherever that may be. I want the world to know what if I can succeed and overcome the many obstacles that may have crushed some people’s dreams, anyone can do it! Just stay persistent and have faith that you can do whatever you set your mind on doing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I personally don’t go out much unless it’s for business to network with DJ’s, club owners and promoters, radio personalities, etc. There are lots of great places to visit in the city though. Anywhere downtown is fun to hang out near Centennial Park because the GA Aquarium is closeby, World of Coca Cola, the Civil Rights Museum and other historical places like the MLK Center and his childhood home. There are always games going on with the Braves, Falcons and Atlanta United. Stone Mountain is a great place to ride the ariel car up to the top and take in the amazing view. Kennesaw Mountain on the NW side of the city has great views and Piedmont Park, Krogg Street and the Jackson Street Bridge are nice spots to take great photos. There are many great places to eat too depending on which cuisine is preferred…JJ Fish, Harold’s Chicken, Ray’s On The River, Chops, Sun Dial Restaurant, and so many others.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to Shoutout DJ Fury, who also happens to be my Husband, Manager, Producer, Engineer, etc., for believing in me and always having my back in whatever endeavor I pursue. He encouraged me to follow my dreams and keeps me on my toes because he matches my work ethic.
