We had the good fortune of connecting with girlsloveliz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi girlsloveliz, what matters most to you?
Love. I put nothing else above that, life is so simple when you put Love above all. It is the foundation of life, followed by Loyalty. I tend to live by what I know, and what I know is when all else failed me Love was always there. Whether it was self-love or an outside source of Love; no matter what, it was Love. My favorite book is, “The Four Agreements” by a man named Don Miguel Ruiz. 4 simple rules, principles, codes, whatever title you want to put on it to live by. I breathe those 4 codes. Read that if you haven’t. Beautiful.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I know there were questions before this, but all I heard was “was it easy?” and absolutely not. If they said it was “easy” they’re lying. Life is an emotional roller coaster, and even more so as a creative. There’s a constant of up’s and down’s, it’s learning how to out balance those down’s with the up’s. I think my level of success I have obtained so far, has come from the mentality of not having a “plan b” there’s no such thing as plan b to me. This is the plan, this is what I’m doing, this is what we’re doing, and THIS IS WHERE WE’RE GOING. That thought process I have created and engraved keeps me going rain or shine; they depend on me, “there is no other option Liz.” So I keep going, because if I fail, WE FAIL. We cannot fail. Every challenge or obstacle that’s placed in front of me, I view as a test from the Universe, and the last thing I’m going to do is fail that test. I’m at a constant with myself, studying my flaws, my imperfections, perfecting my perfections to become the best me I can be when I look in the mirror at me. The only thing I’m interested in is proving to the higher power that I am ready for the next stage, and blessing of success’ in my life. I’m competing against myself, and that’s the biggest lesson for me so far is that. Once I looked at myself as my only opposition everything changed, I changed, my name became a brand. “I’m not better than anybody else, I’m just different.”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite meal is brunch by far, my favorite spot in Atlanta is West Egg, but Suite Food if I want to turn up and be in bed by 2pm. I love going to the Aquarium, obviously as a Pisces, and I love the outdoors so tubing down the river (Chattahoochee River), going to the lake (Lake Acworth), and chilling by my favorite waterfall (Roswell) are some of my favorite places to go to, you should check out!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, without my team there would be no me. It takes a machine behind the scenes to keep me going, they motivate me, inspire me, challenge me, and in turn it has motivated me and confidently pushed me to expect nothing less than perfection from myself. The biggest shout out goes to, Lou and Budda for believing in me more than I believe in myself sometimes. Secondly, I have to recognize and shout out my mentor, my idol, my family, DJ Drama. Blessing me with me with the biggest blessing life could have ever blessed me with, in the most honest, humble way. They say “words cannot express” and this is one of those. I’m immensely grateful for Dram. And I know you’re wondering what, but you shall soon see. Lastly, thank you mom for giving me reason. Shout out to you. I love you. 14.
