We had the good fortune of connecting with Germice Collins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Germice, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process was how can I start a successful business and at the same time help the people mentally and physically. I wanted to be able to help people heal and change mentally, mental illness is real especially in my culture and that’s from my own mental battle I went through. So helping others heal was my goal and that’s what I’m doing.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business THE HERB BARR is based on the Natural and Organic way of healing through meditation, homemade remedies, and herbs such as flowers, plants, and leaves. My life consists of being a help to the body of people that are seeking help to heal, live, and feel better in their bodies, so that they can live a healthier lifestyle. What sets me apart from others is that my ear is always open to the needs of the people even after hours they are free to contact me with any questions regarding sickness or whatever issues they or a loved one may be having. My life is an open book and is used as a testimonial to others that they to can live and become a better person and be that example for someone else. The results are the most exciting and proud that I am able to be of help and joy to someone else’s life. I am where I am today by the help and grace of God and my husband being my biggest supporter, leader, and my angel. It definitely was not easy, just learning the the basics was challenging because it took a lot of studying, researching, and reading in which these are things I struggled with in school. Through my mental healing process I had to make changes and my biggest goal was to do everything better and different than I did when I was operating in my traumatized mindset. Lessons learned to just be extremely patient through it all, everything will work itself out in do time. I want the world t know that my brand and story are both organic and authentic, set aside and apart from the rest.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
THE HERB BARR would be the first spot for some, music, games, and laughter. Then we will visit Sum’mo Tea & Things for some of the most delicious vegan food, best tea and lemonade drinks ever. We will repeat this routine for the week because these two spots is definitely worth a repeat.
