We had the good fortune of connecting with Georgia Lynn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Georgia, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I used to think work/life balance meant protecting my weekends & time off. Now my mantra for keeping a work/life balance is simply “Feel good.”

We need to feel good while we are working & feel good in our time off. I used to bust my ass working so hard for the weekends. I’d push myself so much that I wouldn’t take breaks/practice self-care, & I’d feel like crud while I was working. Then, I’d get to the evenings/weekends & be exhausted, so I’d spend my time off feeling like crud, too. That’s no life!

Now, I don’t really see any day as a work day or non-work day. I work every day. I play every day. I rest every day. I feel good everyday.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

My work with align + allow is all about helping people find energetic alignment, & this work arose out of my own personal journey. At the age of 28, I woke up & found myself REALLY unhappy. I was living up to everyone’s expectations & not honoring my own desires. I left my marriage with an 18-month-old son in tow to look for a life with more meaning & love.

This is when my awakening started, & since then, I have been on a continuous self-healing journey. My business is where I share the tools & practices I have learned along that way. My mission at align + allow is to empower women by helping them align with their highest vibration. I specifically feel called to work with people who identify as women because I think we’ve historically been taught to ignore our own desires.

What makes me different is that I refuse to be pigeonholed. I’m a universalist; weaving together everything from neuroscience to attachment theory to esoteric spiritual practices. I also LOVE being dramatic & a little weird (why should everything be so serious?). This year, I crowned myself The Empress of Energy, and I occasionally will wear a crown. We are all “The Empress of…” something. I love to guide women in channeling their divinely anointed gifts with the world.

I’m most proud of myself for overcoming the fear that I had around telling people I’m a psychic/medium. I was nervous that everyone would think I was nuts. Some people absolutely think I’m nuts (LOL!!), & some people are totally here for it! I feel this big weight off my shoulders to finally be doing what feels authentic for me. It is a huge feeling of loving self-acceptance to OWN your gifts (especially when society generally doesn’t validate your specific gift).

That’s a big lesson: Not everyone needs to like what you do, but you need to like what you do.

With align + allow, I’m offering all things to help women elevate their energy, including:
-1:1 energetic coaching

-Reiki Energy Work
-Intuitive Readings

Because we can raise our vibration higher in community, I’m also forming monthly Goddess Gatherings. Each month, I’m hosting a New Moon Circle & an Intuition Playgroup to elevate women, our intentions, & our ability to psychically read the energy around us.

I want the world to know that the secret ingredient to making anything work in business & life is believing in yourself. That’s not easy for all of us. It certainly hasn’t been for me. Keep trying. Keep going. It will grow. Whatever “it” is. I’m sending all the love and power to your dreams & intentions right now!!!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I feel most at home outdoors, so bike rides through town are my fave way to explore. We’d ride through Inman, Little 5, Candler Park, and Druid Hills. There’s a big hill on McLendon as you’re entering Candler Park that is insanely fun (because it’s a little dangerous). We’d likely find a spot off the Freedom Parkway trail, throw down a big blanket, & do tarot card readings. We like to get a little witchy! Stone Mountain holds a special place in my heart because I grew up there. We’d end the day by hiking up to the top for sunset. For eats, we’d absolutely have to hit up Revolution Doughnuts for their fabulous gluten free option at breakfast & patio dining at Murphy’s in my hood (VaHi) for dinner. I’ve been eating at Murphy’s since I was a little girl. The bonzo cake is the main reason I’m there (and their burger)!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are many people to thank for my growth and success. My yoga teacher, Leigh Mallis, my Reiki Master, Jenn Bailey Streck, and my therapist, Meg at Bliss Counseling, have all contributed greatly to my awakening. These women are true healers, and I am beyond thankful for their impact on my journey. Above anyone else though, I must thank my son, who keeps me grounded & continuously opens my eyes to true love.
