We had the good fortune of connecting with Galaz Bibbs and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Galaz, what do you attribute your success to?
Embracing continuous learning and evolution within my journey has instilled me with the ethos of being my ‘Own Boss’. This isn’t confined to entrepreneurship; it’s about seizing control of your narrative because, in essence, you are your own brand. This is the secret to me being successful; showing up, craft impactful narratives, cultivate connections, and set a tone for my brand.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As an innovative and ambitious marketer. I blends data wizardry and storytelling prowess to craft impactful narratives while driving brand(s) success. As a nonprofit founder, I cultivate long lasting connection with community, education, and character being the foundation of it.

I am so excited to challenge social norms and bring a new perspective to storytelling and community engagment. A few things that got me where I am today are:
– Trying new things
– Having a mindset shift
– Continuously learning how to pivot
– Resting
– And simply just being thankful for having experinces that challenge me professionally, good and bad.

It didn’t start off as easy. I use to question myself daily. Like is this for me? Did I chose the right career? Why isn’t anyone hiring me? Why am I this least paid here and running this department by myself? What do I even want out of life? A client that I worked for always spoke about mindset and at the time I did not understand. Having that shift in mindset completely altered my perspective, leading me to realize that everything I once perceived as working against me was, in fact, working in my favor. I was running a department myself, because I would soon be leading teams. I did not know what I wanted out of life at the time, but this made me do the dirty work to figure out what type of tone I wanto set and how I want to show up in spaces. I am not just a marketer, I am not just a founder. I am Galaz Bibbs and the vaules that I adapted are not just instilled in who I am, but also what I do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First things first, you can do Atlanta without doing brunch. I would either take them to Toast on Lennox or Breakfast at Barney’s depending on the wait lol. Ideally, I’m imaging nice spring/summer weather so I would take her around Midtown to soak up so city life and explore some hot spots like; LOA, Peidmont Park, and Atlantic Station. We love dessert so of cousre we have to get some banna pludding, cookies, and icecream.

Health is weathly and after a weekend of tons of food and drinks, we’ll head to the southside to workout out with Mutlifitness.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes, I love this part. It’s so many different people, resources, and words of encouragment that comes to mind. First, I want give thanks to God. You really never understand what you’re been put through, to get you to your high self. But once you take a step back and look at how far you have came, you realize the ultimate goal is elevation.

Secondly, don’t ever underestimate the power of resources. Sarah Jakes Robert, “Girl Get Up” – Lydia Fenet, “The Most Powerful Woman in the Room Is You”, Neil Pasricha, “You Are Awesome”.

Lastly, I want to thank my community!
