Meet Fredrick Martin | Digital Artist & Filmmaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Fredrick Martin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Fredrick, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Creativity and art was in my family for as long as I can remember. My mother and brother were great artists. I say were because I am the only one still with the passion to produce art.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I began drawing as far back as I can remember. Watching my older brother draw with amazing talent and looking at my mother’s sketches, I knew art was in me so I began to draw. Being an artist and filmmaker goes hand in hand. It’s all about vision, what the artist sees. That’s what everyone wants to know, what’s inside the artist’s mind? And that is what sets us apart from others, our vision. This year we are very excited to be releasing our first indie feature film here in Atlanta on April 20, 2022. But what we are doing has not been done before. We are creating digital artwork NFTs (Non-Fungable Tokens) to go along with the movie. Those who purchase the NFTs will receive the actual virtual token as well as a signed print of the work autographed by the director and of course they will receive a digital copy of the movie after its release. Others will be able to stream it on the movie’s website. The NFTs we believe will bring awareness to the film and to me as director. Not too many people outside of Atlanta know who we are but the NFTs will give them a reason to watch Bosses. NFTs are new and pretty soon everyone will own one one way or another. Pretty much it is a crypto serial code that can not be duplicated on the Blockchain and can be traced back to only one specific owner. And if you are the owner of that token, it will have monetary value based on the popularity of the artist or project. The road was not easy especially when you’re dealing with a limited budget. We wished the NFTs were around when we started pre-production because it is also another good way of doing crowd-funding for your project. There were so many challenges along the way but you must believe in your dream. And you have to have others who believe in you as well. One of the lessons I learned along the way is to never burn those bridges. because you can’t do it all alone. Most time creating a feature indie film is a make-or-break situation. I want the world to know that we are here. 404 Productions Entertainment is a force to be reckoned with. We believe the Bosses is a story that everyone can relate to.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
While filming Bosses we traveled all over the city of Atlanta. If had to choose, best mall Cumberland, favorite restaurant Jimmy Tequila. Favorite park, Six Flags White Water, when friends come to town we go there. I love the water.
