We had the good fortune of connecting with FL Beaty and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi FL, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my writing and podcasting is that I have people that are extremely supportive of me. They understand where my motivations lie and where my heart is. The people that I have on my team are people I walk with equally, and I give them the ability to create the types of shows and stories that are relevant to them, and allow them to relay the messages that they want their growing fanbase to hear and see.
I love the fact that we are able to walk in alignment, and never in opposition.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As an author, podcaster, and blogger I wear many hats but what sets our podcast platform apart from others is that Our platform meshes two angles/viewpoints together and they work. With my hosts coming from a spiritual or religious angle and myself coming from a more secular or worldly angle.
What I am most proud of is giving my hosts a platform to be transparent and unapologetically who they are.
It took soooo much time and effort to get where I am. This journey has not been at all easy. I’ve suffered setbacks and face challenges.
I had to learn myself all over again, and learn how to better balance my life in order to reach certain goals.
What I want the world to know about this brand is that we are unique in every way. We are not cookie cutter, and we are not afraid to speak on the hard subjects.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For me in the city of Atlanta there’s always gonna be things that have to be visited. However for me its not the about the places that we go or the things we do for that matter. Its gonna be more about the vibe that we feel when we go to certain places. Sure, going to the King Center, Centennial Olympic Park, and other sites are cool, but I am a beaten path type of person, and I prefer places that are not always recognized by a city. Restaurants such as Milk and Honey represent more of what I vibe off of. So many places we would visit off the familiar path, I personally can’t name the all.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So many people to name, and not enough space to do so!!!! Well, first and foremost, i would give honor, and thanks to God!!! Without him, I don’t exist. Secondly, I would like to shout out my amazing hosts, Quint Jones, and Cocoa Fenton, They are the wheels that make this vehicle go! Big shout out to my brothers Terrence Jackson, Rob Ellington, and Stanley Prosisse!!! I could not have never know what true brotherly love was until y’all showed me! A major shout out to my sister Angela Thomas Smith!!! I never wanted to be in the spotlight or forefront, yet she continuously thrusts me there because she is confident in my message and she truly believes the words I speak are powerful. A special thanks to my mentor Susie Newton…..I am here largely because of you. You have an amazing constant on this journey, and could never thank you enough!!!
