We had the good fortune of connecting with Fina and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fina, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I was a natural creator as a child. It’s how I express my self and knowing through my art I can help people express themselves as well makes it all worth it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My most proud moment was when I sang the walk out song for my native queens baseball team the mets in 2015 and when I sang in the Apollo theater in 2009 . It has been a long time coming for me from singing Selena songs in my bathroom at the age of 5 , to going to FrankSinatra of the performing arts high school for vocal which was legend tony Bennett high school of the arts ,to singing my first debut in English hip hop and RnB with my hit single no such thing with the late rapper Chinx drugs , to years later coming back as a Latin artist with my new hit “.Sola” which mixes my old style of hip hop to my new smooth rhythm in latin which is what I love most it give an nyc vibe yet still stay true to my genuine sound . What makes me different is that im not scared to just be myself and using my natural raspy tones with my bubbly personality to conquer all . In general it hasn’t been easy but I believe that what makes it most exciting is to keep pushing and keep focusing on the end goal . I believe what is most important is to never quit and if you do to get back into your journey and show the world why you were chosen . Battles can be lost but the war is never over . Victory is awaiting if you just keep going .

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have so many favorite spots but , Zona de Cuba , pergola , bad habits and west light rooftop , some spots in Long Island and Hamptons but really it is endless so many amazing areas in nyc

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out my mother Nancy whom is the person that has always believed in me and still pushes me to be the best version of myself every day.
