Hi Felicia, the decisions we make often shape our story in profound ways. What was one of the most difficult decisions you’ve had to make?
The toughest choice I’ve ever faced came when I was offered $1.2 million for 80% of CPRWrap, my brainchild. At that time, my family was on the brink – we’d lost our car and were perilously close to losing our home. Staring at that check, the weight of it all bore down on me. Yet, instead of rushing into a decision, I sought counsel from two trusted mentors, Marco and Kristina. Their advice wasn’t about the money; it was about reminding me why I embarked on this journey in the first place. At that moment, I realized it wasn’t just about financial survival; it was about staying true to my purpose and convictions. It was a defining moment that reinforced my resolve to follow my heart and my instincts, even in the face of losing everything.

What should our readers know about your business?
Let me take you on the journey of CPRWrap—a journey shaped by the unwavering support of our community. It wasn’t an easy road, fraught with challenges from every direction. As a Black-owned product-based business, we faced hurdles in securing funding and establishing partnerships. The realization that some shied away from us due to my role as the founder was disheartening. However, I refused to hide my identity, driven by the deep-rooted purpose behind CPRWrap—born from a personal experience that fueled my resolve to make a difference.

Our community became our strength, rallying behind us as we navigated the obstacles. Their belief in our mission and my role as the face of CPRWrap propelled us forward. Despite the challenges, we persevered, turning setbacks into opportunities for growth.

What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to empowering individuals to save lives. I’m immensely proud of the impact we’ve made, from empowering bystanders to equipping schools and first aid kits worldwide with our innovative CPR solutions.

Our journey embodies resilience, innovation, and the belief that together, we can create a safer, more prepared world. CPRWrap isn’t just a product—it’s a symbol of hope and empowerment, driven by the support of our community and the passion to make a difference when it matters most.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting Chattanooga, Tennessee, I’d want to show them the authentic charm and vibrant energy of this city. We’d start our week-long trip by grabbing breakfast at the local favorite, Aretha Frankensteins, known for their mouthwatering pancakes. Then, we’d embark on a scenic hike along the trails of Lookout Mountain, soaking in the breathtaking views of the Tennessee River and surrounding landscape.

For lunch, we’d head to the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, where we can dine at the Terminal Brewhouse and enjoy some craft beers brewed onsite. In the afternoon, we’d explore the revitalized Southside district, browsing the eclectic shops and art galleries.

As the sun sets, we’d make our way to the Tennessee Aquarium, where we can marvel at the diverse marine life and catch an IMAX movie. Afterward, we’d indulge in a delicious dinner at Alleia, savoring their delectable Italian cuisine.

Throughout the week, we’d make sure to check out the vibrant nightlife scene on Station Street, hopping from one live music venue to another. And no trip to Chattanooga would be complete without a visit to the iconic Walnut Street Bridge, where we can stroll along the pedestrian walkway and take in the city skyline.

Overall, Chattanooga offers a perfect blend of outdoor adventures, cultural experiences, and culinary delights, ensuring that my best friend would have an unforgettable time exploring this dynamic city.

I owe a great deal of my success to their mentorship and encouragement. They believed in me when I doubted myself and inspired me to keep pushing forward, even when the road seemed uncertain.
