We had the good fortune of connecting with Fele` Yeldell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fele`, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
I’d say the decision to becoming more disciplined really helped me. For me, being disciplined trumps trying to find the motivation it takes to do something because without discipline the effort just isn’t there. Though I could definitely tighten up in certain areas, being disciplined in business drives my consistency. I’ve disciplined myself into promoting and marketing myself wherever I am, I’m disciplined on the customer service aspect and being personable with clients, and also making sure i’m fulfilling orders and keeping track of inventory. Once I trained my mind to stop looking to be motivated and becoming more disciplined, it really helped me see success is obtainable.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am a licensed esthetician and my business is Fresh Face by Fele. I offer custom face and body skin treatments, face and body waxing, and other beauty, wellness, and esthetic services, Clients love how personable, detailed, and thorough I am during services, and everyone leaves more relaxed knowing they received individual attention.

I graduated esthetician school in April, 2020, and I’ve been a solo esthetician for over a year now. I heavily market and promote myself and services, online and in person, every chance that I get.

Starting a service based business where you must build clientele & have them keep coming to you is always challenging. I’m constantly learning different treatments, methods, and services to become a knowledgeable and trustworthy source for my current and potential clients to ensure everyone is comfortable with me and confident they will be satisfied.

Ive learned that believing in yourself is key to accomplishing anything, whether it be personal or business. Without truly believing in what you can do and your potential, it’s so easy to let others dictate what your journey should look like and lead to.

With my brand, I talk a lot about how loving, knowing, and believing in self as the way to go in life. I want people to associate my brand with creation, self care, and unapologetically loving themselves, which leads to better decision making, which leads to better self confidence, which leads to more self love and ability to love others the same. I believe that could change the world. More love and less fear, anxiety, & hate. I want people to know my brand, Fresh Face by Fele started off as an idea in my mind, but I created it, and now it’s here, in the physical, and others know about it. They search for it, contribute to it, anticipate it, and make others aware of it. My idea, my creation, that i’ve shared with the world becomes ours. We all have that ability… to create. I want everyone to know that. Fresh Face by Fele started at the very bottom but with self love, self confidence, and knowledge of myself helped me build something great that’s going to get even better.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love just being outside. The Silver Comet trail is great place to get outside, walk, run, skate or ride bikes.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My younger sister Steffanie who owns and operates Braids by Nyeshah. If it wasn’t for her, letting me move into her space, I may not have been introduced to some of my current clients and been presented with as many opportunities as I have. She’s been in business longer so I can always count on her for advice and plus she does an amazing job with all her clients hair, inclunging mine!
