We had the good fortune of connecting with Fear Vous and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fear, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to create a brand not only that I could be proud of sharing with the world but also to help me create financial freedoms and putting my future into my own hands. I wanted to motivate the people around me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started recording music late, I used to write songs but never recorded any due to my fears of rejection or humiliation. Most my life I played basketball and followed whatever my friends were into good or bad. Eventually I took a chance and bet on myself! One day while at my friend Chucks crib he out a studio in his basement and said we all about to be rappers lol. Well I heard chuck rapping on a song called “catch me” and I said to myself if he can do it I can do it. We started to record songs as a group but that didn’t last long. Who’s collided and rosters switched so I decided it was best for me not to focus on the group but to really focus on myself and prefect my craft. Honestly that was the best decision I’ve made for myself.

It’s taught me to work harder believe in myself and make goals. The most important lesson was to never put your fate and dreams in the hands of anybody else. Yes to be a great artist it takes a team (engineers, producers, etc) but you have to drive the vehicle you have to give the directions change the tires and oil when needed in order to reach your destination.

I decided to create a music label called FEAR Entertainment meaning Face Everything And Rise. Because I was going through a rough spot in my life I knew that I had to face my fears my doubts my anxieties and fight them with braveness and courage and determination. I wanted to create something that was bigger than Vou$ the artist. I now manage 6 other artist signed to my label, I have released 1 Album and two mixtapes as well as two projects from other artist and about 20 singles. We each push each other in the right direction and motives to be better.

My brand has created a separate entity once i decided to make t shirts. My logos were so cool everyone supported me. Now I have two business a music label and a clothing line “FEAR Merch”.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly I work to much to have a full week to hangout within a friend. So I’ll just say what we’d do in a day. Start off with breakfast at one of the spots uptown then we’d go to the gym and workout then get up some jump shots. Next we’d go refresh and get fresh lays to head out to a video shoot. I’d wanna show my friend what that’s like and give them some camera time. Then we’d go to the club and get a bio section with bottles and fine women. After the club we’d get some grub from one of the late hour spots in the city. And then we’d go to the studio and create more vibes.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There would be to many to name so I would like to shout out everyone in Philly that is doing something positive for themselves, for their communities and taking the chances and making the sacrifices to make change and or become successful in their journey.
