We had the good fortune of connecting with Fatimah Patrice and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fatimah, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Honestly, risk are taken daily in all of our lives. When you take bigger risk than what is presented to you daily, that is showing a sign of Faith in what you believe in and how far you are willing to go to achieve it. I’ve learned to bet on myself in all areas of my life. It definitely is a risk when you’re the only one who can see your vision/ your dream, but taking those risk and seeing those Wins are super rewarding. The L’s hurt but those are just lessons leading to the next big Win.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Hip Hop/ Neo-Soul Recording Artist and Songwriter, I create from the soul of my Black American experience. I’m most excited about sharing my experiences and what I’ve learned in the process with the World. So far the current music I’ve created has resinated with all people and not just with some Black people which shows we are more alike than we are different as Spiritual beings having this Human experience.

The journey I’ve traveled to be in the position I am now as a Recording Artist and Songwriter had its ebbs and flows, just as anything else in life does. One thing that has kept me on track to reaching the success I’ve attained so far and in the future is being persistent and consistent in all that I do, even when it got dark and lonely and I was the only one cheering for myself, I kept going!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
