We had the good fortune of connecting with Faith Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Faith, what inspires you?
I am inspired by the joy of my mom captured in the photos I have of her.

When my mom passed away in 2017, all we had were photos and videos to remind us of her infectious smile. I often revisit those photos, which bring back the exact feelings I had in those moments with her. Sometimes, I even let my imagination weave stories around those photos.

This connection to my mom’s life inspired me to help others capture their own moments of joy. It becomes a way to freeze time and preserve the happiness we often take for granted.

The props, the boomerangs, the silly poses — they may seem trivial, but they break down barriers and allow people to express themselves unapologetically. Those are the moments worth capturing. By doing so, I hope to give others the gift of reliving their most treasured moments… just as I do with mine.

What should our readers know about your business?
FotoBo Photobooth Co. is all about capturing joy and preserving precious memories. Inspired by my mom’s life and the boundless joy reflected in her photos, I set out to help others do the same.

The FotoBo experience is different from the “typical” Photo Booth experience, and that is because of the emotional connection, personal touch, and genuine passion I bring to each project. I understand the deep emotional value of these moments because I’ve lived it. My goal is to create an environment where people can express themselves unapologetically and capture their most genuine smiles and laughter.

Getting to where I am today was not easy. Going into the workforce during COVID presented its own challenges. I previously worked in sales & marketing, and the journey was filled with many post-Covid challenges and workforce layoffs.

I come from a family of entrepreneurs and small business owners and I saw the fulfillment that brought into my family’s life. That was the direction I wanted to take with mine. I knew it would be hard work, but I am thankful for the work ethic that has been instilled in me. I was ready for the challenge.

From learning the technical aspects of Photo Booth’s to understanding the ins and outs of running a business, there were moments of doubt and setbacks, but I overcame them by staying true to my vision and drawing inspiration from my mom’s legacy. Each challenge was a lesson in resilience and perseverance.

Staying true to the values my mom instilled in me has been crucial in building a Photo Booth company that brings people joy. I use the word joy frequently because that is the ambiance of FotoBo. Every aspect of the experience is personalized to your event, (yes, even the silly props!) which enables us to capture and share that joy. That is what makes my work so fun!!

FotoBo is built on the joy and genuine care for preserving life’s silliest, goofiest, and most cherished moments. My story is one of finding inspiration in loss and turning it into a passion for helping others create and cherish their own memories. Through my business, I hope to continue to spread the joy that I feel so deeply.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We are comedy junkies – so who love going to the Laughing Skull and the Vortex for a fun date night.

For brunch or dinner with the girls, Beetlecat is our top choice. If you like oysters this is your place!

The Works ATL or Ladybird is our favorite spot to hang out, eat, and drink during the day.

With three dogs under our roof, we love going to Fetch playing with the pups.

And last but not least, Atlas is hands down the best restaurant in Atlanta. We go there for extra special date nights. The food is incredible, the ambiance amazing, and I highly recommend the tasting menu!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Jamie Kent Williams – or as I like to call her, mom.

7 years ago, a doctor pulled me and my dad into a small room to tell us it was time for my mom to go into a hospice facility. Those 4 walls felt smaller and smaller as we read through the pamphlets, not even being able to grasp that this was reality.

My mom was someone who loved her life. She loved her family. She loved her friends. She loved strangers. She was an incredible business woman and entrepreneur. She made everyone around her feel beautiful and worthy. She made small moments feel like big adventures and made big adventures feel like intimate moments. My mom gave the best advice in the world. She was a phenomenal listener, a deep thinker, and instilled profound wisdom in me. She taught me the value in apologizing. She told me to not be on my phone so much, but to always capture memories. I want everyone to feel beautiful and to always have memories of their smiles and happy moments – just like she did.

She was my mom, but an even greater best friend to me. I miss my bestie. I owe everything to her.
