Hi Ezene, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
It’s funny that you asked I hear this question so much and I love to tell it over and over again . The end goal for me is freedom , I want to be able to be free to always be in the position to help someone in need I want to make a impact with who I become yes it will be in the beauty industry but I don’t want it to stop there . Where I want to be professionally by the end of my career is a successful entrepreneur with multiple businesses in different states .

What should our readers know about your business?
I started off painting my nails on my front porch when I was 8 years old then I started painting my grandmas nails for church by the time I turned 11 I walked to the dollar store up there street from my home to get fake nails to glue on my nails that was a turn challenge for me soon enough I was in middle school so of course other girls wanted to try nails I was doing nails in gym , at lunch , free period you name it I was there. I grew up with lots of sisters so beauty became something I confined in so I started doing hair by now my name is “Touchedbynae”. That’s a short story of how it came alone but of course it wasn’t that easy there were lots of trials an tribulations but everyday I had to tell myself there’s always a sun behind a storm you got this! The lessons I’ve personally learned is to never give up an I always go after your dream wether it takes 3 tries or 30 hang on I’ve also learned that nothing comes easy you have to take risks . The main thing I want the world to know about me & my brand is that it took hard work an dedication but we are here to stay .

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As far as eating I would definitely take her to a place called district tap & Ruth Chris for a dress up date . We have a strip called “broad ripple” open bars , smoke shops , ice cream & snow cone parlors , cookie shops an so much more for a weekend out. For more of a chill theme we would go to the selfie museum & the movies I absolutely love studio movie grill . We also have a hotel called the sybris so we could do a in house spa day !

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes , my girlfriend kayla & my mother Tamika . I can honestly say it would’ve been so hard without them they kept me motivated and positive no matter what . Anything I’ve lacked in they make sure to pick up an I appreciate everything they’ve done for me.
