We had the good fortune of connecting with Eugene Varricchio and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eugene, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting Franki was a natural evolution of my passion for customer-centricity, which was rooted in my early career working on the shop floor in retail. I’ve always believed that understanding the customer experience firsthand is key to building a successful business. Having led transformations across various industries like media and consumer goods, I saw a growing disconnect between local businesses and their audiences. With the rise of social media and video content, there was a clear opportunity to help local restaurants reconnect with their customers in a more authentic and engaging way. Franki merges community-driven content with restaurant discovery, allowing people to find dining spots based on real, meaningful experiences, rather than just transactions. My goal was to create something that not only helps restaurants thrive but also brings joy and a sense of community back to dining.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d have to give a big shoutout to my wife, Lee. Her support and encouragement have been a huge part of this journey with Franki, and I couldn’t have done it without her by my side.
