We had the good fortune of connecting with Ethan “Lit Zando” Paul and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ethan “Lit Zando”, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think of risks as the keys to unlocking a better version of yourself. Think about it like this, if you take a risk, and it goes horribly wrong and you come back from it, that shows you how resilient you are, and you learn what not to do. And when it goes right, that’s a win, but also now you know what works. Either way, you can benefit from a risk. I have taken risks when it comes to my music by not doing the mainstream sound, and so far I’ve gotten positive reviews. Also, I feel like taking a risk gives me the freedom to not be perfect and take all of that pressure off of me. As long as what I’m doing satisfies my soul, it’s not even a risk to me, it’s art.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I would like to start with this simple sentence… I do a lot. I have been an entertainer for as long as I can remember, and I officially entered the industry by getting an acting agent at a very young age. I have always loved music, and when I was younger, I used to write whole songs and make the beat in my head and just sing that everywhere I go. I didn’t need an iPod or anything because I had my head albums. To this day, whatever I say, I have most likely written. I used to do singing lessons, and I’m thankful for those because I feel like the fundamentals help me when it comes to my current music. I have always loved acting also. I would always write and film skits and write movies and tv shows. My proudest moment is that when I was a senior in high school, I wrote, directed, executive produced, made the music for, and starred in my own 30 min pilot episode for a show that I wanted to pitch. Currently the project hasn’t went anywhere but when I get my name established in the industry, I will be going right back at it. My bread and butter will be creating projects where i star in it, write it, direct it, produce it, and make the music for it. And this will give me credit when it comes to my production company Redd 13 productions. Even though it’s starting off with me and my camera, it will develop into a world changing entity. If you want to have an idea of how I am different than others, just have a listen to my discography with “Lit Zando” (artist on all platforms). You will see how each song is a totally different experience from each other. If you want a better idea of my creativity, just check out “Redd 13 Productions” YouTube page. Each video has a different concept and it will be growing into a force to be reckoned with. I just want the world to know that it’s going to be an E world sooner than you think, so just be prepared.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This will be in no specific order. I will take them to Georgia State’s infamous racetrac on a Saturday night, because even though it could get dangerous, it will be some of the most fun you will have. I would have to take them to Piedmont park on a weekend or something, because there is something always going on and something there for everyone. And then a similar experience would be riding scooters on the belt line and just seeing where that takes us because the belt line also has a lot going for it. Then we could hit up 6 flags on a weekday. Who doesn’t love amusement parks? We would go to the Aquarium to check out a dolphin show. The show always hits in my book. As for food, we have to sit at the bar at Ton Ton in Ponce City Market. We also have to eat at five church in midtown and the establishment in colony square. And for the one time we have to hit up the bando for some of them crack wings. If you had them, then you know.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out God, my parents, brothers, and rest of family, my current friends, my past friends, my enemies, and everyone that I have come across in my life, because everything and everyone I have come into contact with has affected me in some way and without that I wouldn’t be who I am now.
