We had the good fortune of connecting with Erica Rahola and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erica, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I believe my background shaped me in many ways. Growing up in a military family with a strict father had it’s ups and downs with me being such a care free creative kid. Seeing the world at a young age – literally going through a culture shock – was a blessing and a wonderful life experience I would do all over again. Today I have the “Anything is possible” mentality and I think that easily comes from my childhood. Being in this industry full of rejection you definitely have to have thick skin, confidence, and a relationship with God and I would say my parents taught me that.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Atlanta is a wonderful place to be right now as an actress with so many projects being shot here there are a lot of opportunities to run into. I do my best to stay busy with things that help me become more adept in my acting and performance skills. Such as acting classes, mock auditions, action training, stunts, creating my own content for my social media and balancing a healthy fit lifestyle. All these things keep me pretty busy. I’m also currently on set for the next 2 weeks working on a Netflix  feature with a very talented cast. Looking forward to sharing more details about it super soon.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When my people come to visit they always want 2 things: food and shopping. So my go-to places for these are Ponce City Market, Atlantic Station, The Battery or the Buckhead Village District. But honestly my favorite place to eat in Atlanta is Home Grown! I love Home Grown! I take everyone I love there. It’s a breakfast and lunch spot and they’re only open until 2pm. It’s like a hole in the wall and they sell local art and even have someone play on the piano from time to time. It’s so cute and the food is GOOD!!!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Really God deserves all the credit and recognition but if I had to choose somebody it would definitely be Jason Croom. Hands down. He has been in my corner supporting me since day 1. When I think back when I first moved to Atlanta on my 19th birthday he has been there ever since. From teaching me fight choreography to sponsoring many of my shoots – Jason Croom is my number one supporter and team member.
