We had the good fortune of connecting with Erica Gray and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erica, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Being able to have more flexibility with my schedule. I hate the thought and feel of consistently being strictly by the book and adhering to a schedule with little to no room for adjustment.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Atlanta Hair Delivery™️ is the only seamless hair and beauty delivery service in Atlanta. We deliver with 100 miles of downtown. I am so proud to be able to pave the way. Not only making a space for another woman in tech but for being able to bridge the gap from beauty supply to salon with the click of a button along with the ability to do so in minutes! This road has not been easy. It has taken a lot of patience, teamwork, and a system that works. Starting out as just a thought to being in full operation has opened my eyes about a lot of things. This took a lot of trial and error, a lot of failing, a lot of giving up, and a lot of determination. I knew I was on the right path. I just needed to believe in myself and trust the process. Now we are here and I want people to know that it’s ok to fail. It’s ok to start over. But that’s the glory of it all. Success is not just about the good. In order to succeed one must learn to accept both the good, and the bad. I’ve accepted both wholeheartedly and I am proud of what this business has become.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a lover of shopping and good eats. I would definitely suggest Little 5 Points for shopping or Pressed at Phipps. Take pics at the Krog Street Tunnel, Jackson St Bridge, or a Selfie Museum. Taco Pete’s in East Point for a snack or Big Dave’s Cheesesteak. Maybe walk it off with a walk in the park at Piedmont Park or the Beltline. Hangout at Ponce City Market, maybe Pasha for a drink/hookah and before they leave brunch at Milk&Honey or Boogalou’s.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shoutout my husband and family for being the support system to the madness. Without a solid and sound support system there would be no me in this aspect, They are the motivating force that helps fuel the drive and keeps me pushing forward.
