We had the good fortune of connecting with Erase-E and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erase-E, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I’m inspired by life itself. People, animals, places and things. I love music and art. I get super charged when it touches my soul. Lately I’ve been inspired by reading different books and other people’s stories. To connect with someone else journey can bring you peace and understanding.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Yes I’m a recording artist who has been recording music for many years. And yep! It feels good saying that! The fact I haven’t given up. I will like to salute and pat myself on the back. Great job! Erase. Just like I said in my song “Golden”- Always in motion just like the river steady flowin’… I hardly ever think about what sets me apart from other artist because when I’m recording music I dig into myself. So to answer this question… Being me sets me apart from others. I’m most excited to write, record, release and perform the music I make. Every step of this journey is amazing. I got here professionally by being professional with myself. Always being on time to recording sessions, sending out demos, making phone calls, contacts, networking. Just overall treating my music career like serious thing, not just a hobby.
It was easy creating music projects but the business side dipped a lil because of capital but I always figured out a way to at least do the music and release projects without executives, managers and help. Over the years I realized I did need help to push my movement to the next phase but I’m glad I pushed my self to do more with less. I want whoever reads this to know to talk to yourself and you will figure everything out. I’m still being creative and having fun. I love hip hop. Keep “Reachin” like the #10 song on my ON “E!” album.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes. The Brohydez. A group of men consisting of family and friends who formed a union of brotherhood from childhood. We’re all individual artist. Just like other hip hop collectives that we’re formed i.e..The Dungeon Family, Wu-Tang Clan and Hieroglyphics, We are artist, producers, engineers. writers, performers, designers and label owners.
