We had the good fortune of connecting with Eniyah Crayton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eniyah, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
After deciding to work for myself, I took another leap of faith and this time I decided that I wanted to start my journey on becoming a cosmetologist. My junior year in high school, I sat down with my counselor and got myself registered to become a dual enrolled student, meaning I’d be attending HS and a college. After being accepted into the college just by using my GPA, I started my journey to becoming a licensed cosmetologist which will later support my brand down the line. Knowing that I graduate HS this upcoming May, makes me excited because I know for sure that my decision on starting my journey as at Cosmetologist has been successful and that I will soon be taking state boards, which means I’m a step closer to my success.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business name is ConceitedTresses, I sell luxury Virgin Hair, edge control, and other hair care products. I also wholesale products for other upcoming businesses.Im most excited for what GOD has in the near future for my brand. Honestly I’m currently where im at now just from hard work and dedication, I’ve continued to push even if I was getting one sell a week I would still promote myself and brand. Ive learned that success doesn’t happen over night and that eventually support will come, most of the time it’s from people you don’t know. I want everyone to know that my brand is ran solely by me and I try my best to fulfill everyones needs to the best of my ability and I appreciate everyone who support me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was to visit I would take her a few places. First I would take her to the aquarium and then to some of the well known restaurants and Atlanta. Heres a list of some of the places I’d recommend, KrabQueenzatl, Nana’sChickenandwaffles, Tritonyards Foodtrucks). Some other attractions are World of Coke, The ZOO, and things of that sort. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shoutout to my parents for continuously supporting me through my journey of being an entrepreneur. Though the ups and downs they have been there for me.
