Meet Emily Warrick | Wedding and Event Planner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Emily Warrick and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Emily, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
After getting married myself and seeing how much ease a wedding planner brought to the process I fell in love with the idea of starting my own company. Almost eight years later I still have butterflies every time I send a couple down the aisle. It truly is a blessing to do something you love! I knew when starting my own company that I wanted to build something that I enjoyed doing over and over.

What should our readers know about your business?
I think one of the things that sets our company apart is the in depth connections we make with our couples. Planning isn’t just a transaction. We really strive to have a great relationship during the planning process and understand the stresses of planning. Owning an events based company through the pandemic and also having three small children hasn’t always been easy. I have really had to learn how to balance my time. My greatest lesson has been to ask for help when I need it. I’ve learned to delegate small tasks and focus on the bigger picture.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a big foodie so I would definitely be stopping at some of my favorite spots. We would start at Salty donuts then head to Super Rica for lunch. You also couldn’t leave without a cookie from Sugar Shane’s. The banana pudding one is my favorite! Also, as a wedding planner I would take them to a few of my favorite venues to check out. Such as the Venue at Daisy Hill in Fayetteville and 42 West Entertainment Club.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Family support has been crucial in owning my own business. Your hours can be crazy and stressful and my husband Ben jumps into help with the kids and making sure our schedules work. My faith is very important to me too and my friends in the Church have been my biggest supporters. Finally, I would not be where I am today without the other incredible Atlanta vendors I get to work with everyday, the right vendor team makes the biggest difference in the success of a wedding.
