We had the good fortune of connecting with Emani Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emani, how do you think about risk?
I believe that risk are honestly a show for hearts! And truly require faith! My name is Emani which means trustworthy, reliable and faith! I believe I take risks daily! I don’t believe that anything worth fighting for comes easy! Risk will set you apart from those around you! If you ask me I’d say take that risk that’s divine intervention leading you onto a greater path while on this life journey !

I believe taking risk has brought me into rooms with some of the most talented people! I have met some really influential people during my journey The more you put your most truest authentic self out there the more opportunities will flow to you that’s meant for you! I wholeheartedly believe that!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am E$ lee and independent artist! I recently started to associate Myself with my creative pursuits! I have been dancing and singing since I was 3 years old! I have danced throughout my life even through college where I attended Savannah state university! I enjoyed every opportunity in my life that I have had to further my artistic abilities! When it comes down to my artistry I call myself a spiritual gangster! I have always been a great writer and very articulate! My favorite subject in school was poetry ! That started my interests in rap and song writing ! I would say Beyoncé was my role model and still is! Her ability to perform and speak her truths through music that sells!! I have curated my skulls for years afraid to share only with a select community! I always felt safe with Snapchat so I started off there ! I would spend hours writing and finding beats to freestyle to!! I love freestyle because that is the essence of creativity ! I have a strong work ethic and faith! I believe faith without works is dead James 2:14 I practice what I preach my music. Is real ! It’s helping me heal and I hope to reach an audience that can only relate and lovey authenticity! This is only the beginning for my journey with music and arts !

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’n my opinion Atlanta is melting pot! I love the beautiful scenery and would definitely have to take my friend to a picnic at Piedmont park! I love spending time in nature and the ability to enjoy the weather here compared to my hometown in New York! I also enjoy the food here I’ve had some of the best lobster macaroni at STK steakhouse ! And fine dining Caribbean cuisine would have to go to Escovitchez in the NAWF! One of my favorite places to club at is Memphis smokehouse because the vibes are great! I’d also say you can catch me dabbling in a night at Rose bar I enjoy the strict dress codes! I honestly enjoy the cascade rink and the sip and painting places here! Atlanta is such a vibe as long as you have transportation!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wanna shout out boss lady star ! We are blood sisters and she truly motivates and inspires me to follow my dreams! Coming from my background my sister is the most stable family I’ve had in my life! I appreciate her love and consistency to show up and support me! She is a great woman and great support is important in development of some of the most iconic artist! Family is big in building foundations ! Your family can be chosen or blood glad to call her both for me!
