We had the good fortune of connecting with Elo Copeland and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elo, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Consistency and research. Most times it simply takes a person being consistent, even outside of what you may feel is perfection. Deciding to do something, whatever form of art you choose, is the biggest challenge. My advice is to make the decision and move with consistency. Add to your consistency the education and knowledge it takes to build whatever you desire.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most excited about me coming up on my 2nd year of doing Stand Up Comedy and 6th year as a working Actress. I will say it’s not been a smooth road, but what road is when you’re destined for greatness? I like to call it an adventure. You’re told “no” more often than not in entertainment, so it kind of comes with the territory. Having a great support circle and a mentor is key. The best advice I was given by a friend was to remain consistent and be your authentic self.

I would like the world to know that Elo will always give the world joy through some form of entertainment.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shoutout the actors & entertainers who came before me and made this dream possible for me to believe in my abilities & gifts. I’d also like to thank my community of actors, writers, and comedians for the continued support and inspiration.
