We had the good fortune of connecting with Ellarie Noel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ellarie, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Taking risks is ultimately how my career began. I started out splitting my time between what I truly wanted to do and what I had to do to pay my bills, and though I was making progression, I knew that eventually I was going to have to put everything I had into what I really wanted to do in order to see if it was going to work out. I got an unexpected push when I was laid off from my job, and then had to make the decision to immediately find another job, or put everything I had into what I truly wanted to do and trust the process. So I went all in on my ultimate dream without putting in a single application while I was laid off, and within a few months I knew that I made the right decision. If I ended up choosing a comfortable job and not taking the risk of following my true passion, I wouldn’t have had any of the success and dream fulfillment that I do today.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am most proud of being able to build a career on being authentic. Being in the creator industry for over a decade, I’ve seen ‘influencers’ do and say crazy things just to be popular or get a check, and I’ve never allowed myself to go down that road. I am usually uncomfortable anywhere that I am unable to be myself. I’ve learned that being myself is enough, and though there may be quicker ways to be noticed or earn money, the real world is full of real people that miss real life situations that used to be shown, versus what is shown nowadays. Showing people my genuine work life balance and family dynamic as a single mom, without needing to be problematic or lie for views, has been the key to building an authentic relationship with my viewers.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As long as I’ve lived here, I still am the worst person to ask what they should do while they are here! So many name changes and new places show up all the time it is hard for me to keep track of the places I really like. However, a couple of places that I do enjoy to dine or have some drinks are The Optimist, MCK, and the Fairburn Los Mariachis location.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There have been times in my life where people have let me down, even when I needed them the most. The most consistent person in my life has been God, because even in my lowest of lows, I knew that He was going to show up for me when no one else would. I had been on my own for so many years that being successful seemed like a fairytale. The responsibility of being a new mother, raising and taking care of myself and a child on my own in a state that was across the country from my home weighed heavy on me. As heavy as it was, my prayers always would include ‘I know that this is temporary’, because everything in me told me that it was as long as I trusted Him. Though I am thankful for my family and friends for their support, I can only contribute my success to God, because its always been just me and Him at the end of the day, fighting every battle.
