We had the good fortune of connecting with Ella Barnett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ella, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
That is a great question. The thought process behind my business was that I wanted to leave a legacy behind for my daughter. I wanted to start my company so that when she gets older she could run the company herself.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Graceful Tresses Organic Products LLC was started in October 2020. I am a former master cosmetologist and have always wanted my own product line. I wanted to start something with all natural ingredients. The name Graceful comes from my daughter whose name is Grace. One day I decided to step out on faith and start my business. I talked to few other business woman that I knew on where to start my process. It hasn’t been a easy journey but I am blessed to have my business. Without God by my side, I don’t know where I would be. There are many days I have wanted to give up but I prayed and was determined not to give up.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was in town, we would first go to wherever they would want to eat. Then we would go to The spa. After we would just relax. One day we would go to Atlanta and just spend a day site seeing and having a girls day. Each day we would just do different things and just enjoy life!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout Pamela Brown. She is a hard working entrepreneur and a mother. She is in school as well. She does so much for our community. Pamela has her own tutoring services as well as checking water for residents. She has a heart of gold and will do whatever she can to help others.
