We had the good fortune of connecting with Eliza Kent and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eliza, why did you pursue a creative career?
Throughout my 15-year career in film and television, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse array of talented individuals who have enriched my creative journey. From visionary directors and skilled production designers to innovative writers and meticulous costume designers, my experience has been shaped by the collective brilliance of the industry’s finest minds. Each project has offered unique opportunities for growth and exploration, allowing me to hone my craft and push the boundaries of storytelling through visual expression.

My passion for the arts was ignited at a young age, thanks to my mother’s encouragement and exposure to various art forms. Visiting a Leonardo Da Vinci exhibit in Seoul, South Korea, at the tender age of five left an indelible mark on me, sparking a deep-seated connection to the world of creativity and expression. As I immersed myself in museums, galleries, and exhibits, I realized that art isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s a visceral experience that taps into our emotions and drives us forward. This profound realization has guided my artistic journey, shaping my approach to filmmaking and ultimately leading me to establish my own design firm, where I continue to channel my passion for storytelling into every project we undertake.

Today, as the founder of my own design and real estate firm Element Form, I draw upon my rich tapestry of experiences in film and television to create compelling visual narratives that resonate with audiences worldwide. Holistic, authentic, and creative solutions are at the core of our approach, as we seamlessly integrate the realms of design and real estate to build wealth and foster innovation. As both a seasoned professional in the entertainment industry and a licensed realtor, I bring a unique perspective to our projects, leveraging my expertise to curate spaces that not only captivate the imagination but also hold immense value in the real estate market. Whether it’s through innovative set designs, evocative costumes, or captivating cinematography, my team and I strive to harness the transformative power of art to inspire, provoke thought, and evoke emotion. Just as I felt that visceral connection to art as a child, I endeavor to imbue our work with that same sense of wonder and enchantment, ensuring that each project we undertake leaves a lasting impression on those who experience it.

The journey to where we are today hasn’t been without its challenges. Building a business from the ground up requires resilience, determination, and a willingness to adapt. We’ve encountered setbacks along the way, but each obstacle has only fueled our determination to succeed. By embracing a mindset of continuous learning and innovation, we’ve been able to overcome challenges and emerge stronger than ever. One of the most valuable lessons we’ve learned is the importance of collaboration and surrounding ourselves with talented individuals who share our passion and vision.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Atlanta for a week, I would ensure they experience the vibrant culture, delicious cuisine, and exciting attractions that the city has to offer. We would start our adventure by exploring the historic neighborhoods of Grant Park and Inman Park, taking in the beautiful Victorian architecture and lush green spaces. For breakfast, we would indulge in southern comfort food at The Flying Biscuit Cafe or enjoy a leisurely brunch at Buttermilk Kitchen.

After fueling up, we would head to the Atlanta BeltLine, a revitalized railway corridor turned into a dynamic trail featuring art installations, parks, and bustling markets. We’d rent bikes and spend the afternoon biking along the BeltLine, stopping to admire the street art and soaking in the energetic atmosphere.

For lunch, we would sample the diverse culinary scene at Ponce City Market, an iconic food hall housed in a historic building with a rooftop offering stunning views of the city skyline. We’d feast on gourmet fare from local vendors and maybe even catch a live music performance.

In the evening, we would explore Atlanta’s thriving nightlife scene by visiting the trendy bars and restaurants in the Buckhead neighborhood. From craft cocktails at The Regent Cocktail Club to live music at Blind Willie’s Blues Club, there’s no shortage of entertainment options to suit every taste.

Throughout the week, we would make sure to visit some of Atlanta’s top attractions, including the Georgia Aquarium, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site. We’d also take advantage of Atlanta’s rich cultural scene by attending a performance at the Fox Theatre or exploring the High Museum of Art.

Overall, Atlanta offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and excitement, making it an ideal destination for an unforgettable week-long adventure with my best friend.
