We had the good fortune of connecting with Elena Calderaro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elena, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
What value or principle matters most to you? Why? The value that guides my work and my life is service through education. As someone who rebuilt her life from scratch after immigrating from Venezuela, I’ve learned the power of sharing clear, practical information—especially within communities that are often overlooked.

In the last few years, I’ve focused on creating resources in Spanish that help immigrants better understand complex processes. I don’t give legal advice, but I do believe in the impact of a well-organized guide, a workshop that answers common questions, or a community group where people feel heard.

I believe that education—especially in our own language—can be a form of empowerment. That’s exactly what I would have needed when I first arrived, and it’s what I now strive to offer others.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started from zero—with a suitcase, my law degree from Venezuela, and the determination to rebuild my life.
When I arrived in the United States, I went through what many immigrants face: uncertainty, limited information, and the challenge of starting over. That led me to study immigration processes in depth and train through educational programs to better understand how to support others.

As an immigrant and entrepreneur, one of my biggest challenges was adapting to a completely new environment with unfamiliar systems and expectations. I knew I didn’t want to just fill out papers—I wanted to truly help people. That desire to make a difference is what inspires me to share my knowledge with others who are beginning their own journey.

What sets my work apart is its focus on education, clarity, and empathy. Over time, I’ve created free guides, hosted workshops, and built a community of more than 25,000 followers on TikTok and over 11,000 on Instagram, where I share practical tips and step-by-step tools to help people organize their documents and understand key procedures.

To date, I’ve supported more than 350 immigrants across 34 U.S. states. That’s what makes me proudest—knowing that my work brings real value and positive impact to people’s lives.

If there’s one thing I want the world to know about my work, it’s this: You don’t have to feel lost or alone. My brand is rooted in clarity, dignity, and providing the kind of guidance I wish I had when I first arrived.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My best friend actually visited me in Suwanee this past December, and I wanted her to experience everything I love about the life I’ve built here—a blend of nature, culture, good food, and family fun.

We started the week with a walk through Suwanee Town Center, enjoying the green spaces, local art, and festive lights. The kids ran freely while we explored community events and farmers markets. We also spent time at Sims Lake Park, one of my favorite peaceful spots to visit with my children.

For coffee and something sweet, we love Paris Baguette—a cozy place to relax and catch up. We also walked around Downtown Duluth, which we absolutely love for its vibrant energy and food options.

We took a trip to Atlanta to explore the High Museum of Art, the stunning Georgia Aquarium, and finished with sunset views from SkyView Atlanta. Walking through downtown Atlanta reminded me so much of Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, where I was born and raised.

Another highlight was Stone Mountain Park, full of lights and holiday magic. We also had fun at Andretti Indoor Karting, and would definitely plan for a Bravos game during baseball season.

What I’d want her to feel most is what I feel every day here—this is a place where cultures meet, families grow, and dreams have space to thrive.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are many people and experiences that have shaped my path, but I especially want to dedicate this shoutout to the immigrant community that inspires me daily. Their strength, stories, and resilience remind me why I do this work. I’m also deeply grateful to my husband and children, who are my daily motivation and the biggest reason I keep going. To my parents—whose values taught me what true strength and commitment look like—thank you. And to the community of women entrepreneurs who believed in me when I was just starting: your encouragement has meant more than you can imagine. Every workshop, every message, every word of support has helped me move forward.
