We had the good fortune of connecting with ELAINE STERLING and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi ELAINE, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was 40 years old, and I knew it was “now or never.” I have a passion for the beauty and wellness industry that I wanted to incorporate into an institute offering world class education. I saw an opportunity, a gap in the beauty school market for what I could offer to undergraduate education. Being a technician myself I understood what was needed in the classroom and clinic floors to provide the students what they needed to be successful at school and in their careers post gradation.

What should our readers know about your business?
I started my business in 2008 with a credit card and a prayer. Being a single mother and cancer survivor, I have overcome so many challenges in my life.
I am the School Owner, Founder, Visionary and CEO of The Elaine Sterling Institute, I am licensed esthetician and esthetician instructor and hold very prestigious international diplomas being internationally trained and certified as a Beauty Therapist (LE, LEI, CIDESCO Diplomat, and ITEC). My new book “Beauty beyond the mirror” is available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble gives the reader an intimate look into my life and the growth of the institute.
My passion for skin, health and wellbeing is paramount to me and is reflected and energized in all of my professional endeavors from writing, keynote speaking and spa business coaching. While speaking, presenting, writing and training on the subject of ‘The Theater of the Spa Experience’, I am motivated and encouraged when I see evidence of the positive effects on, and changes brought to people’s lives. The power of a professionally trained Spa touch is invaluable in the stress-filled world we live in. The Elaine Sterling Institute is Located in the heart of Buckhead in Atlanta GA. The school offers programs in Massage therapy, Nail Care, Esthetics, cosmetology and soon barbering. The school is over 39000 square feet and has 500 students.
