We had the good fortune of connecting with Edllusion and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Edllusion, how do you think about risk?
I started school in 2009 as an electrician and graduated trade school with job placement. I worked long hours only to stroll in the driveway every night at 9pm 5 days a week Monday to Friday.
After some months of hard work I realized this job was not for me. I was sad to let go of the job because I had always worked so hard in school studying the required credits in order to qualify joining the trade school.
The true risk approached me in my life when i joined business school, I decided to take the risk of getting into a career that was not promised, I had even asked Magicians how life was as a career and they had not recommended it because it was a business that required a high level a discipline and commitment.
I started in 2010 as a business until current 2022.
This business from my point of view has been a risky business but my minds set was always a committed type of energy filled with passion and I’ve always told myself that no matter what, work is all about how much you put in and to never give up no matter how hard things can get.
My company as a magician has become a very successful business and is now my full time job which allows me to take care of my family and home.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a dancer at heart originally, I love to dance as specific dance style called pop-locking. I have always dreamed of performing my magic shows and including pop-locking and now that dream has finally come true.
Most magician do not dance and are more of a technique performer, I have always loved to add my dance movements in my tricks which is what stands me out from most magicians.
To get to where i got to today was a lot of work and commitment. I have felt like giving up and was consistently told to stop being a clown for a living but I looked past it and never gave up no matter what.
My dream has come true in my career because I now have a team of performers in my show and we are performing a true Las Vegas style show with grand illusions.
What i want the world to know about my story is that going for a dream is not going to be easy but if you want to be successful in anything you do, you will need to make you that no matter how hard thing get you need to never give up and keep moving forward.
If I can be an example for anyone the three words I personally would like to pass on for true success is:
#1 God
#2 Family
#3 Work
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
