We had the good fortune of connecting with Ebony Hamlet and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ebony, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The single most important factor behind the success of my brand is that I dont take no for an answer. Growing up my Mom, Betty would always say, the worst thing a person can tell you is no. It made me fearless as a child. I’m not afraid to say what I need, nor am I afraid to chase my desired response. Space In Time is mission driven. Therefore small obstacles cant stand in the way or hold up progress. Time is literally money in my field. I like to find quick resolutions that solve problems. Patching an issue only means, that I will have to go back and revisit it.

Now don’t get me wrong, as an entrepreneur you are constantly told no. You have to have thick skin. Most would give up at the first road block. My attitude is that I am one step closer to my yes. So I go into overdrive to make it happen. Many think the world is black and white. In my mind there are a lot of grey areas. Show me a rule that hasn’t been bent or broken. I have adopted that motto. My only two options are to find a way or make one.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets us apart from other venues, is the value that we provide. Our clients get a lot of bang for the buck. I have had people say “that’s all” when I tell them the price. We also don’t force clients to use our vendors. They have a choice to bring in their own and that makes a big difference.

What you are most proud of or excited about? I am most proud of being out in Atlanta and seeing clients everyone. Its like family. Think about it,, we assist them with celebrating milestones in their life.

Its cool to host a wedding then see the bride months later with a baby bump. We have built real relationships and I love that.

I got to where I am today business-wise by working hard. In the beginning it was just me putting in long hours. I kept believing that my sacrifice would pay off. Eventually it did. Now I can afford to employ others and for that I am grateful.

Was it easy? Hell no, but it was definitely worth it.

I overcame challenges one step at a time. The goal is to keep pushing because quitting isn’t an option. It will work, only if I make it work.

One valuable lesson that I have learned along the way is to believe in myself. Everyone won’t get your vision, but you can make them a believer. If you are able to solve a problem and find someone willing to pay you for it. Success will come. Supporters will come when success is shown.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story? As a small Black Owned business, we won’t get it right everytime. However, we strive to get better everyday. Give us the same courtesy, given to large corporations when they totally miss the mark.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There several people that I would like to dedicate my shoutout to. My parents for one. They are my sounding board. They are also my first later of protection. I run all my ideas by them to see what sticks.

My second layer is my siblings. I am the baby in my family. I am so grateful to have to loving big sisters.

One entrusted me with her children this summer. I gave my nieces a crash course in entrepreneurship.

The other sent me financial help when the pandemic started. I made it right back as soon as Georgia reopened. She didn’t want it back and told me it was a gift. That type of selflessness means the most.

Lastly my core group of friends are the best. I am so blessed to have a strong village around me. They constantly ask if I need help with anything and they pull up just to see if anything is needed.
