We had the good fortune of connecting with Easy Tony and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Easy, how does your business help the community?
DREAMGARDENS changes the world everyday by reminding people to discover and honor the part of themselves that creates with ease. The creator in each of us is powerful, strong, expressive and intuitive. We don’t get to see enough of this in our world today because we live in a time where money is made by encouraging us to consume, spectate, give away our attention and focus. Creation and consumption sit opposite on the scale and should have some level, some balance.

No judgement, we’ve all built interesting creation/consumption diets and we consume with our time, with our energy, finances, etc. If this whole society is designed to keep you busy enough so you don’t figure out who you are, what you want to create, what you have to say, then whatever that is has to be one of the most exceptional, powerful things to exist!

A large part of health, mental health, emotional health for human beings is not just being a consumer, but also figuring out and understanding the parts of you that have something to say, something to create. There’s so much power here because this is tied to your purpose, your identity, your mission.

DREAMGARDENS exists to be a portal for people to take themselves to the next level. There’s nothing better than watching people transform into who they want to be. I have the privilege of helping people do that with EASYLIFTS, our fitness/training sector, but being able to see that type of growth with others’ gifts and passions is a reward that I don’t know how I got so lucky to receive. I get energy by being able to help other people do that.. the growth is amazing, the look on their faces as they crush their own goals is unforgettable. Life changing shit, my guy.

Whether you’re a painter, singing, doing hair, writing, drawing, cooking food, dancing.. DREAMGARDENS helps people dust off and uncover their thing, map it out and build it out. We help creatives and small business make a plan, strategize, and bring their gifts from something that “I should be doing” to something “I do”, with confidence.

I don’t care what you do for work, or what you have to do to make money, I like to work with the real things about people.. what do you want from this life? What gives you unlimited amounts of energy? What’s your passion? Some people Mike Tyson with the pigeons.. Some people are Bob Ross with the painting… if it’s a gift to the world cool, let’s make it happen! If you wanna make money with it, I get it done!

What should our readers know about your business?
DREAMGARDENS is completely different because it’s not just a record label, it’s not just a creative agency, its not just an eclectic community of artists and business people, it’s not just a e-commerce powerhouse, it’s literally everything! We’ve taken every hard knock, every lesson and turned them into solutions for ourselves and others. We’ve had the fortunate experience of building these out for clients and business in the b2b space and healthcare industry, but being able to do this for small business and creatives gives another level of purpose.

Was it easy? Heck no.. but it was worth it. We needed every challenge to get this point. Having a new artist get shafted by a recording studio taught us the value of having our own studio. Getting bad contracts ensured that we set up an Avenger-level legal team. Trusting friends to do digital marketing helped us build out our own department.. Having pointless meetings with big corps taught us the value of building internally first. You gotta see everything as a lesson and keep going. That’s what EASYLIFTS would say.

I want the world to know that you gotta protect your DREAMGARDEN with the utmost respect. Your brain, the dreamgarden that you have in your skull, is the most powerful tool you have in this reality. It’s literally a transmitter and receiver for your reality. The power of your conscious and subconscious mind will decide your life. You’re not taught this for good reason, but it’s imperative that you write the programs for your mind and your life. You must have an active participation.. this is all we got. Take advantage, get in the drivers seat! Seek who you are, what you’re made of, what you can become! The dreamgarden is waiting for you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Queens you gotta go to Liberty Ave and get some roti from Uncle Singh’s. Bring some doubles for your loved ones too.
In DC you gotta go to silver spring and kick it with the Ethiopians, drink some honey and eat some injera.
In ATL, sheesh, hike the palisades trail and then hit spice house and get some curry!
In Miami you gotta run by the water in the am, come back get a cortadito and a guava pastry from the Cubans.
In the Bay you gotta barely escape a sideshow with your life, reevaluate your life decisions.. then get a tofu bang mi and a matcha boba.
In LA you gotta go take a hike by Griffith and then head to the Getty with some maca root smoothies. I’ll get Houston, Detroit and Jersey next time.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate this to my parents. They gave me a lot of the puzzle pieces they had to make this happen, so I have to take it to the top for them. My mom and my dad moved here from Jamaica not long before they had me, then my younger siblings.. It wasn’t easy for them. I learned a lot watching them and I share these lessons with clients, employees, lovers, everyone. This is their victory lap too.
